This is totally unrelated to anything here - but wondering if anyone on here has ever known anything as f-ed up as what is going on with a friend of mine. Friend has been married for 18 years and is a very successful businesswoman. Her husband, a cop shot someone in the line of duty about a year ago. After the shooting incident he became moody, difficult to live with, and may have possibly had PTSD. So.... several months after this shooting my friend notices that her husband is paying a lot of attention to her son's fiancé and suddenly disappearing at odd times and always texting. She confronts her husband about this but he always has a good answer and suddenly becomes more attentive. My friend believes him because she loves him... this crazy crap goes on for months. My friend feels like she's losing her mind because of all the stress and lies. Finally my friend decides she can't take anymore as she can't trust him and his constant lies. She files for divorce and two days later the son's fiancée leaves him and moves in with my friends husband.
Well turns out he has been screwing the son's fiancé the whole time and now she's pregnant. Theres a 30 year age difference and the son's fiancée also has a child with the son. So now this nasty old man is going to be the grandfather to one sibling and the father of the other. Honestly I thought this crap only happened on soap operas and lifetime. Makes me so sick I wanna puke. Has anyone else experienced anything so messed up?
I really wish it was made up. But its real and horrible and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. There are so many people who are hurt by these two sociopaths. They lied to everyone for months and I'm afraid there is a lot more pain ahead.

Oh, I remember once when a pea went and investigated and found a pea who had supposedly passed. I don't remember all the details, but I think the pea called the supposedly dead peas house! Based on her posts, I feel sorry for Kelpea's kids. I agree Kelpea seems like a selfish, entitled, ignorant wannabe, who interprets every situation as though it revolves around her to feel important. If the party is any indication, she's reactive with her kids - likely does not have rules or consequences, but haphazardly scolds her kids in accordance to what's popular with the other parents (e.g. she didn't punish her kid until the school suspended her for 30 days). This seemingly lack of structure is confusing to kids.
I wouldn't be surprised if the mystery poster isn't Kelpea. Her overvaluing popularity could easily drive her daughter to not just throw a party, but also drink, drive without a license, have casual sex, & whatever necessary to be liked by her peers. I can also understand how not having an outgoing personality, not making the football team, or whatever else Kelpea deems reflective of popularity would also cause anxiety or feelings of inadequacy as seen in her younger kid. I think the anon poster is definitely Kelpea because of the timing. Interviews with students during the school investigation likely revealed drinking, casual sex, etc. that actually occurred among the so-called "scared kids" with "good parents" (except the mom whose kid brought alcohol, of course) at the "small, quiet party" the entire neighborhood knew, filmed, & called the police about! When the students refused to answer questions without a parent present, another student claiming alcohol was present at the party would not automatically result in punishment for everyone as Kelpea claimed. Parents had to have been called & all accusations discussed. Kelpea's probably learned of her daughter's actions from the school, not her kid because she didn't want to disappoint her parents. While Kelpea was content that her kid was a popular cheerleader, she was likely shocked to discover the lengths she had resorted to in order to please her. Poor kid needs guidance...

I think it's sad when bright women get degrees and then are SAHMs for years on end, at least in most cases. My sister this this. Bright woman. Trained to be a nurse practitioner, got all the credentials. Immediately had two kids and stayed home. They are ten now and she has never used her nurse practitioner education in any formal way. She sells stuff on eBay. It's hard to get back into the work force when the kids grow up, even when one is bright and capable. I worry for her. I think she made a mistake.
What's strange about Ashley is that right after her scrapbook book came out she totally turned her back on the scrapbooking community. IMHO higher education is never wasted. However, if you're already married, a parent, & considering additional children, I would suggest not going into debt for the advanced degree until you intend to use it! Most couples are just getting started when they begin their families, I cannot imagine the additional expense of school loans, plus more children, would strain most young adults' budgets!
On a thread she started to bash her children's bus driver at the beginning of the school year, she stated carpooling her older children from school across town was not a possibility because she & her husband share a car. If he is frequently "lost," as another posted commented, that leaves her stranded at home with young children. On other threads she's also slammed others for not being considerate of families, like hers, you may not have the money for (whatever the subject) in their budget.

The wand thread, in the news story you can clearly hear weird sounds coming from the wand when you push the button, no way I would have bought that in the first place. In that thread, you're not supposed to re-use those water bottles until they fall apart, you are only supposed to re-use them a couple of times, after that they become a health risk.

This is totally unrelated to anything here - but wondering if anyone on here has ever known anything as f-ed up as what is going on with a friend of mine. Friend has been married for 18 years and is a very successful businesswoman. Her husband, a cop shot someone in the line of duty about a year ago. After the shooting incident he became moody, difficult to live with, and may have possibly had PTSD. So.... several months after this shooting my friend notices that her husband is paying a lot of attention to her son's fiancé and suddenly disappearing at odd times and always texting.
She confronts her husband about this but he always has a good answer and suddenly becomes more attentive. My friend believes him because she loves him... this crazy crap goes on for months. My friend feels like she's losing her mind because of all the stress and lies.
Finally my friend decides she can't take anymore as she can't trust him and his constant lies. She files for divorce and two days later the son's fiancée leaves him and moves in with my friends husband.
Well turns out he has been screwing the son's fiancé the whole time and now she's pregnant. Theres a 30 year age difference and the son's fiancée also has a child with the son. So now this nasty old man is going to be the grandfather to one sibling and the father of the other.
Honestly I thought this crap only happened on soap operas and lifetime. Makes me so sick I wanna puke. Has anyone else experienced anything so messed up?

Based on her posts, I feel sorry for Kelpea's kids. I agree Kelpea seems like a selfish, entitled, ignorant wannabe, who interprets every situation as though it revolves around her to feel important. If the party is any indication, she's reactive with her kids - likely does not have rules or consequences, but haphazardly scolds her kids in accordance to what's popular with the other parents (e.g. she didn't punish her kid until the school suspended her for 30 days). This seemingly lack of structure is confusing to kids.
I wouldn't be surprised if the mystery poster isn't Kelpea. Her overvaluing popularity could easily drive her daughter to not just throw a party, but also drink, drive without a license, have casual sex, & whatever necessary to be liked by her peers. Kelpea probably considers the cheer squad proof that her daughter is popular, so she must blame her devastating suspension/absence from the sideline on someone other than her popular kid!
I can also understand how not having an outgoing personality, not making the football team, or whatever else Kelpea deems reflective of popularity would also cause anxiety or feelings of inadequacy as seen in her younger kid. It's difficult when parents stress something as subjective & constantly changing as popularity.
I think the anon poster is definitely Kelpea because of the timing. Interviews with students during the school investigation likely revealed drinking, casual sex, etc. that actually occurred among the so-called "scared kids" with "good parents" (except the mom whose kid brought alcohol, of course) at the "small, quiet party" the entire neighborhood knew, filmed, & called the police about! When the students refused to answer questions without a parent present, another student claiming alcohol was present at the party would not automatically result in punishment for everyone as Kelpea claimed. Parents had to have been called & all accusations discussed. Kelpea's probably learned of her daughter's actions from the school, not her kid because she didn't want to disappoint her parents. While Kelpea was content that her kid was a popular cheerleader, she was likely shocked to discover the lengths she had resorted to in order to please her. Poor kid needs guidance...

Based on their past actions, s/he/they would likely have no qualms with people falsely suspecting/accusing someone else as being the owner, even the deceased!

Police were investigating a brutal murder-suicide on Long Island late Tuesday in which authorities said a man beheaded an elderly woman before jumping in front of a commuter train.
The New York Post reported that the woman was killed in her Farmingdale, N.Y. apartment at approximately 8 p.m. local time Tuesday. The man then dragged the woman's body out into the street, where he kicked her head approximately 20 feet before jumping in front of an eastbound Long Island Railroad train approximately 25 minutes later. Police said his body was found about a mile from the apartment.

Years ago, when I worked for Kroger in college, a corporate security officer told me the same thing. I believe it. While shoplifting was a big problem, employee theft was huge $ amounts.
A few years ago, there was a Hobby Lobby manager whole had stolen over $1 million in inventory and was passing it onto friends to sell who then shared the money with him. He barely got a slap on the wrist. If a thief like that isn't getting consequences, there's not much hope that the small time shoplifters will, either. :thumbdown:

I've seen her sneak some really, really bitchy jabs at people, but then she always makes comments about how "sad" it makes her when people say things that she deems to be "mean." Many times after having said something very mean in a veiled way on another thread.

Who says she is wasting anything by being a sahm? Maybe she wasted all that time and money getting a degree that is now not used because she chooses to stay home and nurture her children. I don't care either way, but the point is that she IS teaching her girls that they can be anything they want to be. They may want to be a stay at home mom. And she is showing them that that is a-ok even if you did waste that time and money to get a degree.
No education is ever wasted. Except maybe yours, if you think not working means a wasted education.

Maybe she has the plan a lot of SAHM Moms have. To go to work after ALL the kids are in school.
You forget she already has a book out too. (Maybe more, she doesn't owe it to tell anyone her business).

I think it's sad when bright women get degrees and then are SAHMs for years on end, at least in most cases. My sister this this. Bright woman. Trained to be a nurse practitioner, got all the credentials. Immediately had two kids and stayed home. They are ten now and she has never used her nurse practitioner education in any formal way. She sells stuff on eBay. It's hard to get back into the work force when the kids grow up, even when one is bright and capable. I worry for her. I think she made a mistake.

What's strange about Ashley is that right after her scrapbook book came out she totally turned her back on the scrapbooking community. Didn't promote it, was bored with scrapbooking and wanted nothing to do with it anymore to go back to school and do the scientist thing. Then her husband started disappearing and coming home late saying he"got lost." Then she gets knocked up again, leaves her lab job, and swarms the Gen Scrap board at 2peas kissing up and begging to be a Garden Girl. I agree with the above, which I find funny. However, she also thinks she's the smartest poster, so she often offends others with her condescending comments. Her gender sensitivity is not surprisingly one-sided; she expects acceptance & opportunities for her daughter, even if at the expense of others. IMHO her inability to consider, accept, or respect opposing viewpoints or situations other than her own, & blatantly embracing the trendy mommy blogger mantra, refutes her delusion that she's the most educated, evolved, & enlightened person in the room!
IMHO higher education is never wasted. However, if you're already married, a parent, & considering additional children, I would suggest not going into debt for the advanced degree until you intend to use it! Most couples are just getting started when they begin their families, I cannot imagine the additional expense of school loans, plus more children, would strain most young adults' budgets!
On a thread she started to bash her children's bus driver at the beginning of the school year, she stated carpooling her older children from school across town was not a possibility because she & her husband share a car. If he is frequently "lost," as another posted commented, that leaves her stranded at home with young children. On other threads she's also slammed others for not being considerate of families, like hers, you may not have the money for (whatever the subject) in their budget.

I'll occasionally reuse a ziplock baggie but I'm not going to wash and reuse aluminum foil.
In that thread, you're not supposed to re-use those water bottles until they fall apart, you are only supposed to re-use them a couple of times, after that they become a health risk.
