In all the times I've been hospitalized, my dh wasn't even allowed to curl up on the bed with me. Some nurses allowed it, but it didn't last long.
I've been so sedated that I couldn't have fought off someone. It's scary when the nurses don't care. I once had to drag my old lady roommate off the toilet because she was left there for over and hour. There were no nurses anywhere. I could barely stand up myself, but I couldn't just lie in bed while the poor lady who didn't speak English fell off the toilet and broke her hip. I told her daughter the next day, and heads rolled. The Nurse administer came and got my story, thanked me and gave me a huge gift basket.
I just wanted to treat that lady like I'd hope someone would treat my grandmother and mother.
I wouldn't put it past some employees to allow this on purpose because they hated the mother. The things I've seen and heard staff do... ++++++++++++++++++++

What are the odds that so many peas have such gifted and talented children? Yes, we all think our kids are special. These threads always make me roll my eyes, not one of them will admit to having an average, normal kid.

What are the odds that so many peas have such gifted and talented children? Yes, we all think our kids are special. These threads always make me roll my eyes, not one of them will admit to having an average, normal kid.

Those of us with average normal kids don't bother posting at all about the kids. That is why it appears under represented.
Obviously a parent with a normal kid wouldn't post to the gifted threads but with the peas it seems like they all have gifted kids who on the spectrum and not only that but it's not one of the kids in the family it's all of the kids in a family.
We have 3 and only one of ours got into the G&T program in elementary school, she did maybe 2 honors classes in jr. high and only 1 AP class in high school. So clearly I did something wrong because she and our other two are nowhere near the genius level of a normal peas kids.

Meh, I went to several proms, and we all wore garters. It was fun to coordinate them with our dresses. The ones that were going to have sex did it whether they had one or not, and having one didn't encourage others to do it.
