I swear this woman probably needs instructions on how to get out of bed in the morning.

I was surprised to read that the police didn't bother with car theft in Texas, given their string-'em-up, tough-on-crime image. And they execute people like it's going out of style.

No, I disagree. The service person "earned" it, NOT the dependents. I think this is an excellent place to cut our costs. That benefit should ONLY be available to the person who EARNED it. After that - it's a freebie on MY back.

Bitch please. Our military doesn't get paid big bucks, at least we can give them or their children a decent education.

Damn it, Jane. I posted an hour ago or so, and now my post has disappeared. Is it stuck in your spam filter?

Compwalla is becoming the next Yubon. Sometimes she offers good advise and other things she acts as if her fuse is short.

So a 5yo is being a little shit and throwing stuff over her fence, the mom does nothing to stop him and the peas bright idea is to turn the hose on the kid.

Did I mention the op says the kid stands on a ladder?

Sure turn the hose on him, when he falls off the ladder and breaks his arm and his mom sues you then maybe you can turn around and sue the peas for giving you craptasic advice.

Eh, if I were a police officer and the same lady called in to say her car has been stolen three times, my attenae of disbelief would be up.

Anonymous said...

I don't blame Compwalla. The OP is a dumbass. "Help, I only eat two vegetables". Who the fuck cares? Grow up!

MOJ playing know-it-all. How would she know why people buy them? She couldn't afford one with her 7 kids crammed into a trailer.

I am a dog lover (we have 4), but I think peasandthanku is changing the story to make herself sound better.

First, the dog was walking two feet to the door when it was killed, and then, after everyone points out that it was HER fault for not leasing the dog, the situation magically changes? The dog was sitting nicely behind her van and what? The neighbor hit or almost hit her vehicle?

I don't buy it. This moron let her dog die a painful death, which is awful. Awful for the kids, awful for the neighbor and especially for the poor dog. I'm sure it's awful for the OP, but I'd feel more sympathy if she weren't making up details to help herself skirt responsibility.

leasing = leashing

And they KNOW this when they CHOOSE a military career! SO they expect that their little snowflakes DESERVE a decent education? If that's the case then ALL US children deserve a good education, not just military brats!

I'd have to agree...I'm kind of tired about military wives bitching about the pay....it's not like it is a surprise that it's low.

15: ".I'm kind of tired about military wives bitching about the pay....it's not like it is a surprise that it's low."

It's not that they're surprised, it's that the pay for what they do is just wrong.

14: "SO they expect that their little snowflakes DESERVE a decent education?"

They have EARNED it for their children. It's part of what they EARN for serving their country.

I'll smack on an spoiled housewife WAY quicker than a military family. Fuck. To me, they SHOULD be the entitled ones...just like fireman and police officers. I just can't bring myself to bitch about those people.

Anonymous said...

Yes, they should know it's not glamorous pay, but what would assholes like us do if there wasn't people willing to get shitty pay in the military. I think most of our servicemen/women don't do into it for MONEY. They believe in serving OUR country.

FFS. Slow day at 2ps when we need to complain about the military families.

18 here. I'll also add that I agree that we all should have decent education - not JUST the military kids. All of our kids.

Don't forget April's boyfriend also shot a 15 year old kid who broke into his car to "steal his stereo". That was a couple of years ago and she went on and on back then about how they were sick of getting their cars broke into and stolen. A lot of people gave her crap for him shooting that kid but she defended it big time.

Shooting a kid for trying to "steal your stereo" and having your car stolen 3 times. Uh, yeah that dude is into something and I'm sure April knows all about it. She's just not telling us the whole story.

OMG, 23. I must have found 2ps after that! That is i.n.s.a.n.e.

April, honey. If you are interested in a whole lot of free advice, read on.

I don't care what he gives you, how many cars you have, etc. He's shady. He's into something, and I think we all know it ain't above board. You must know about it, or have a HUGE case of denial. You might like the life, or think he loves you, stay out of duty, are scared to leave, etc. Whatever. Pick your answer.

Get yourself and your BABY out of that situation. Just because nothing has gone astray YET, doesn't mean that it won't at some point. Do you want your son in the middle of it? Think about it.

This might be unsolicited, but it's not bullshit. BTDT. Personal experience. NOT worth it.

Good advice, 26. Too bad April will ignore it. She knows exactly what she's in the middle of. It even sounds like she LIKES it.

Horse shit. Most of the people I know that have gone into the military are kids that did lousy in high school, couldn't get into college or trade school and were looking at flipping burgers the rest of their lives. Fact is, other than senior officers, most enlistees have a dead end life, and the military is about their only option.

Bullshit. I graduated high school in 3 years at the top of my class. I joined the Navy at 17 years old because I wanted the GI bill to help me pay for college so that I could become a marine biologist. I served my country proudly and I would go back in a heartbeat to defend my country if need be! After my service I took my GI Bill and earned my PhD. I certainly DO NOT have a dead-end life, I am highly respected in my field, and I most certainly do not flip burgers.

Totally sounds like her BF is into drugs. Multiple tricked out vehicles, stored in a warehouse? Not a save environment for a baby at all. Sadly, it sounds like April would rather have the money from drugs than have a safe home for her child...

stfu 28 I served in the Air Force not because I had no other options but because I wanted to give something back.

I got to see parts of the world I wouldn't have been able to other wise.

I met my dh and have 3 kids thanks to the USAF. Our oldest two are both now on active duty. Hopefully our youngest will go in when he's old enough.

It's a wonderful opportunity to see the world, get an education and do something for someone besides your self.
