Personally, I think if a person is to that point, that they've probably done enough to show that they should be institutionalized until they can gain control...but those institutions have long since closed, and the only other option is prison.

My research is just fine. The US has been through a civil war and more than a few crazies really believe they are still at war, for now at least politically, and that the south WILL rise again.
And we have been dealing with various warlords in the form of NRA, armed militia, private citizens being encouraged to stockpile weapons, and the like for far more than twenty years.
There is a growing,gaping chasm between north and south already, philosophically, politically, and culturally. And LaPierre and his ilk won't be satisfied until we are all carrying with no restrictions. Guns for kidlets, babies, in bars, in Congress, you name it. All the while redistributing the wealth and working towards the destruction of the middle class and re-establishing a large slave class to populate their food franchises, cotton fields, tobacco plantations and gun making businesses.

My research is just fine. The US has been through a civil war and more than a few crazies really believe they are still at war, for now at least politically, and that the south WILL rise again.
And we have been dealing with various warlords in the form of NRA, armed militia, private citizens being encouraged to stockpile weapons, and the like for far more than twenty years.
There is a growing,gaping chasm between north and south already, philosophically, politically, and culturally. And LaPierre and his ilk won't be satisfied until we are all carrying with no restrictions. Guns for kidlets, babies, in bars, in Congress, you name it. All the while redistributing the wealth and working towards the destruction of the middle class and re-establishing a large slave class to populate their food franchises, cotton fields, tobacco plantations and gun making businesses.
This is it folks, there will never be full employment in the US again because under their plan, the more jobs that are off shored to cheap labor, the better. We will be forced to fight each other off with the guns they so thoughtfully sold us.
