Haven't we heard variations of this whine before? She retired to Missouri (aka Misery) and now can't afford health insurance; if she stayed in California she couldn't have retired, but would have good, inexpensive insurance. Seems to me her own bad decision caused her problem.
I am puzzled that she told me she would never be able to drink again before the surgery and now every time I see her she's sucking it down. I'm not sure if she's drinking that much more or if it just takes less to be obviously drunk.
