Ugh... BFF asked to borrow money ($500+)from me for an unexpected expense. Normally I would say yes but her husband just made a major purchase and is within the return period ($1,500) it is something he has been wanting and is in love with, but I think he should return it to provide for his family, but when I said that my friend said he shouldn't have to return it. To 8:53 pm, no offense, truly, but seriously, a LOT of teenagers get pregnant on purpose. I work in H.S. Guidance and believe me when I say that MOST of the pregnant girls did it on purpose.
They want to keep the guy. They want a baby because it's cute and they can buy cute little outfits. They'll get tons of attention. They will get unconditional love from the baby. They do it because it's just the cool thing to do in their circle. I could go on and on. They don't think PAST the cuteness of the baby stage or realize the attention fades, the friends fizzle out, the guy moves on, the money runs out.
I swear there would be a lot less teen pregnancy in this country if the awareness groups would seriously address the "on purpose" pregnancies. Everyone assumes it's things like the teens being uneducated about protection or sex. That's a very small percentage of them.
