I think she is just average, and should continue to do what she enjoys - but not delude herself that she is a talented artist.

Well when I was 26 I had a TIA, chronic problems with my pancreas and a myriad of other health problems but life's not all bad look at my shapely bum and enviable relationship with my husband. I have a ton of designer purses and a great haircut. See my skin? That's Tarte BB cream, it's like me but better, I get compliments all the time. Did I mention my expensive stuff yet? My purse is designer you know, but I didn't blow my husband when he gave me it, what do you think I am a high class call girl? My evil SIL would die if she could see me at McDonalds, it's her favorite place to eat so I'm not supposed to be here. She's just jealous of me cos I look fabulous and she doesn't. One of my favorite posts from her was on the thread where someone asked about combat boots for her daughter. She recommended Cole Haan combat boots (which....no) and then launched into a diatribe about her leather equestrian boots that still fit her even though her feet are smaller than they were in college
