When I was 17 I was responsible for setting my alarm and getting breakfast, getting my things together and getting to school on time. My parents made sure I knew that I was almost an adult and that I should start behaving like one. *Shrugs*
I don't care much for FreeBird either. The impression I've always perceived from her, is she thinks she is "classy and cool" and in reality she comes off as "white trash-ish".
Yeah why get up with a teen, I mean really who wants to spend any extra time it them, make sure they don't need any lunch money or just chat with them for a few minutes in the morning. I wouldn't want them to think I love them or anything like that.

When I was 17 my parents gave me cash every week and it was up to me to make it last. I made my own freaking lunch and I got out the door just fine without a kiss from mommy or daddy. I appreciated them trusting me enough to be independent. I had a job, I had multiple clubs and responsibilities at school.
And it is an ignorant statement to say that you don't want to spend time with your kid. Not babying him in the morning means you don't ever spend time with him??? Stupid.
