You missed the point, these people don't need help, they're being pulled along in raft (not rowing) by people WALKING (rescuers) and could easily just walk themselves (the people in the photo I was referring to these people look able bodied, just fat - so what - that's their problem. I think a lot of what kelpea puts out there is BS, she has a real need to be accepted and part of the in crowd. I'm guessing she never got over being ignored in high school.
I know homeschooling pea parents are always saying their kids get plenty of socialization and interaction with other kids but the few I've met, (homeschooing isn't really all that common where I live, not enough Mormons and evangelicals I guess), have been awkward and uncomfortable around other kids.
They seem to be much more at home around adults.

And so many factors go into rate increases, PPAC is waaaay down on the list. Try being a smallish-medium sized employer and have one (or a couple of) employees or their dependents have serious (ie expensive $$$ - cancer, heart, transplant, stroke, etc) medical issues and the next year *every* employees' premium rates will increase 30-40%. And they'll blame socialist Obamacare.
