So far in my 47 years the worst that has happened to me is my dh lost his job of over 20 years in 2009. He found a new one within 6 weeks but with a massive pay cut and no insurance for me or our son.
I do work part time to help out but if I tried working full time that money would just to to daycare.
So to sum it up, I've never been arrested, no one has ever called the cops on me, I did get one warning for speeding but I took care of it in a timely manner so no arrest warrant, no family member has ever accused me of anything.
The worst problem we've had with neighbors was this old couple that used to live behind us. If one of my sons balls went into their back yard when he was playing they would come outside and take it. They wouldn't give it back they would take it into their house. Right in front of ds, or me and ds went I was with them. But they were very elderly and very cranky.
Some how I doubt karma is going to bitch slap me just because I think berrysmoothie is some sort of scam artist/liar/drama queen.

DH will likely be laid off by October, AGAIN! This will be the 2nd lay-off in four years. So once again, it'll be up to me to keep my family afloat. Thankfully my job is relatively stable and I've held the same position for over 7 years now!

I have spent almost my whole life being knocked down and having to pick myself back up again. I don't like it and would prefer that wasn't the case and am learning strategies to prevent it in the future. My therapist made total sense today, I attract these people and am attracted to them because they are what is familiar to me based on my background. She's right. Both of my parents moved out of the house when I was 15 and I had to raise myself so to speak. I had no parents and yet I still made it through high school and had a job and participated in all kinds of extracurricular activities and graduated with honors. My senior year I was the first person from my school to ever make All-State. And I did that without any parents around and nobody from my family who gave a crap. I am tough because I've had to be. My story seems unbelievable. My therapist asked me to write my story and I told her nobody would ever believe it but I'm doing it anyway. For me. Luckily I have people in my life who have known me since all the way back then so they know what I went through and who I am today.
I broke the pattern of domestic violence for my kids and myself. My sister still lives in it. I have been generous to people who were takers and I didn't recognize it. I've learned things the hard way but I haven't had the advantage of good role models to teach me things any other way.
I married a good man, we celebrate 21 years this July, who unfortunately has a family about as crazy as mine. They hide their crazy where my family wears it like a badge of honor. You guys don't even know everything, there is no way I could tell it all. So yeah, I believe you've never met anyone like me. That doesn't make me wrong though, it just means you've been pretty damn lucky.
I also graduated Magna Cum Laude from college, won the honor for the highest GPA from my college while homeschooling 4 children and serving as President of my Home Owner's Association. You probably don't know a whole lot of people who have done that either. Not a lot of people manage having the same best friend for 26 years, I have. I am not average. My goal is to have my life be boring. I have had enough excitement. And come this fall, when my case is over, my forwarding address will be to a PO Box and that will be the end of toxic people in my life.

As the ARTICLE states employers will now charge 30% more for obese individuals and 50% more for smokers.

Nobody has ever said that all smokers get lung cancer and no non-smoker ever gets lung cancer. What studies show is that smokers have a significantly higher risk of lung cancer than non-smokers. That's what the insurance companies go on - probability and statistics.

And I'm not bragging although I knew there would be people who would think so. It's just my life isn't all negative. And yeah, my SIL graduated college at the same time I did and I wasn't supposed to mention my honors ceremonies because it would make her feel "bad". So I tend not to share the brighter moments because there will always be someone who thinks that we should all just be average.

I was in the 8th grade and had been playing the clarinet for 2 years and I went to All Region and made 1st Band, 4th chair and I was so proud. I had worked really hard for that. And when I came home in all my excitement and told my dad, he said why didn't you make first chair? Nothing I did was ever good enough. I hope that if you have kids you don't treat them like that. Actually, I hope that if you have any people in your life be it siblings or friends or whatever, that you are more supportive to them and that you save your bitchy for people online. Kalamata olives, Castelvetrano olives, Black olives, an olive mix that has several different types of Kalamata olives in olive oil instead of in a brine, Garlic w/red peppers in olive oil (I'm sure this has a fancy name, but I don't know it).
We never put out pickles. If I did it would have to be a true deli garlic dill type pickle. The ones that are like 99 cents a pickle. And even then most of them would be left at the end of the night.
Instead if there is space in the tray I would add hand sliced deli stick pepperoni (only the stick kind in my house- LOL!), cheddar cheese and saltines.

I've never been arrested, been reported to CPS, had MIL accuse me of ID theft. We have called the cops on the neighbors when they were outside at 11pm banging a sledgehammer on tire rims. I've gotten two speeding tickets in my life but that's IT!
DH will likely be laid off by October, AGAIN! This will be the 2nd lay-off in four years. So once again, it'll be up to me to keep my family afloat. Thankfully my job is relatively stable and I've held the same position for over 7 years now!

Nobody has ever said that all smokers get lung cancer and no non-smoker ever gets lung cancer. What studies show is that smokers have a significantly higher risk of lung cancer than non-smokers. That's what the insurance companies go on - probability and statistics.
