A sudden influx of illegal immigrants from Mexico requesting asylum is overwhelming immigration agents in San Diego, forcing agencies to rent hotel rooms for some undocumented families and release others to cities around the U.S.
Documents obtained exclusively by Fox News show Immigration and Customs Enforcement has been paying for hotel rooms for dozens of recently arrived families to relieve overcrowding inside the San Ysidro and Otay Mesa, Calif., processing centers. Some ICE employees are working overtime and others have been asked to volunteer to work weekend shifts. “Duties include intake, placements, transports and release of family groups and unaccompanied minors,” according to a memo obtained by Fox News.
The surge has raised suspicions about what is driving the influx, amid claims that illegal immigrants have learned they can attempt to get asylum by using a few key words -- namely, by claiming they have a "credible fear" of drug cartels.
“This clearly has to have been orchestrated by somebody,” said former U.S. Attorney for Southern California Peter Nunez. “It's beyond belief that dozens or hundreds or thousands of people would simultaneously decide that they should go to the U.S. and make this claim.”

I'm a pea who's been around a while but don't want to put this out there under my usual pea name with all the info associated with it, hope you'll all understand.
I've read the threads about narcissistic mothers and I'm just trying to make sense of it all. The first few times I read some of those threads, way back when, it didn't seem to fit, then on a few more recent ones some of it did. Don't know if I'm just trying to make it fit so I can understand better or what.
I'm in the same place as Alibama today, feeling very sad and angry and hurt. Only difference is I still have to interact with my parents.
I've always - as in since earliest childhood memories- known something was not right (with my mom) but in the last several weeks it's become clearer. I always thought she just didn't like me, but now I've come to see in the last few weeks, she just doesn't like anyone.
The woman can produce a slight against her out of thin air. Seriously. You never know what it will be that will set her off and it is never logical in even a twisted convoluted way. I learned EARLY on to just tell her what she wants to hear and get on with my self.
I've let things go, over the years and attempted to heal and get on with life and pretty much let her keep her fantasy of how wonderful my childhood was. Wouldn't do any good any other way anyway and I was never sure what was wrong with me that I can't mesh with them, or them with me. We had an event, for lack of a better word, in the last few weeks that has put us together 24/7 for several weeks now and I'm in hell.
Can never be sure what completely innocent thing will set her off. And in the realm of trying to have a normal relationship with my mother and finally just relax and be myself, (There is nothing wrong with me. I'm as normal as they come and I'm a very polite and good person) I let down my gaurd and tried to have conversations with her and when she comes up with a slight out of thin air I try to ask her what she means and she blows up at me for questioning it.

I'm a pea who's been around a while but don't want to put this out there under my usual pea name with all the info associated with it, hope you'll all understand.
I've read the threads about narcissistic mothers and I'm just trying to make sense of it all. The first few times I read some of those threads, way back when, it didn't seem to fit, then on a few more recent ones some of it did. Don't know if I'm just trying to make it fit so I can understand better or what.
I'm in the same place as Alibama today, feeling very sad and angry and hurt. Only difference is I still have to interact with my parents.
I've always - as in since earliest childhood memories- known something was not right (with my mom) but in the last several weeks it's become clearer. I always thought she just didn't like me, but now I've come to see in the last few weeks, she just doesn't like anyone.
The woman can produce a slight against her out of thin air. Seriously. You never know what it will be that will set her off and it is never logical in even a twisted convoluted way. I learned EARLY on to just tell her what she wants to hear and get on with my self.
I've let things go, over the years and attempted to heal and get on with life and pretty much let her keep her fantasy of how wonderful my childhood was. Wouldn't do any good any other way anyway and I was never sure what was wrong with me that I can't mesh with them, or them with me. We had an event, for lack of a better word, in the last few weeks that has put us together 24/7 for several weeks now and I'm in hell.
Can never be sure what completely innocent thing will set her off. And in the realm of trying to have a normal relationship with my mother and finally just relax and be myself, (There is nothing wrong with me. I'm as normal as they come and I'm a very polite and good person) I let down my gaurd and tried to have conversations with her and when she comes up with a slight out of thin air I try to ask her what she means and she blows up at me for questioning it.
Just been realizing it's not me and it will never work with us and I guess trying to make sense of it and try to explain it, if just to myself. Just sad today like Alibama. Maybe because I have to keep pretending it does work when it really doesn't and that just sucks. It's just too hard to be with them.
