ETA 10/10 2am : I was never out to "be sneaky" about anything. My amazon referral fees have into my kid's 529 acct and I use the site stripe linker because it's easy, I can post them to blog, FB, and here and it works well. The short little URLS with everything built in are far preferable to the long ones, it's nothing to "hide" it all goes to the same page anyway.
I've been doing toy lists for years, and never been told there was any problem with it. I always have made the Peas a priority and post deals here before anywhere else. I don't have the time to maintain a blog anymore, since I'm working 2 jobs, but I still have made the time to do this, because I've been asked to, every year.
Now that I've been asked NOT to, I am fully complying with that request. And honestly, it makes me sad. I know my deals, I know my products and I get a lot of joy out of helping people find the right gifts, and hard to find gifts, to make the people in their life happy. I want to give advice on items to people, but I'm scared to post any darn link, and get kicked off the site or something. I really want to update the free 25 days of music too, but 2Peas has not told me if I'm allowed to, I did ask though, so we'll see.
As some mentioned, it doesn't really make sense. Some people are allowed to link, I see referral links all over for amazon and many other sites, as well as selling on etsy, treats and such. But, I'm not a fighter, I'm not gonna be angry, it's not worth it.
I love 2Peas, and though my time is super limited, I enjoy reading and watching everyone's families grow right along with mine. I started here when my son was 2 and he turns 13 soon, it's crazy! Life's too short to worry about this kinda stuff, so I'm certainly not gonna.

ETA 10/10 2am : I was never out to "be sneaky" about anything. I've been doing toy lists for years, and never been told there was any problem with it. I always have made the Peas a priority and post deals here before anywhere else. I don't have the time to maintain a blog anymore, since I'm working 2 jobs, but I still have made the time to do this, because I've been asked to, every year.
Now that I've been asked NOT to, I am fully complying with that request. And honestly, it makes me sad. I know my deals, I know my products and I get a lot of joy out of helping people find the right gifts, and hard to find gifts, to make the people in their life happy. I want to give advice on items to people, but I'm scared to post any darn link, and get kicked off the site or something. I really want to update the free 25 days of music too, but 2Peas has not told me if I'm allowed to, I did ask though, so we'll see.
As some mentioned, it doesn't really make sense. Some people are allowed to link, I see referral links all over for amazon and many other sites, as well as selling on etsy, treats and such. But, I'm not a fighter, I'm not gonna be angry, it's not worth it.
I love 2Peas, and though my time is super limited, I enjoy reading and watching everyone's families grow right along with mine. I started here when my son was 2 and he turns 13 soon, it's crazy! Life's too short to worry about this kinda stuff, so I'm certainly not gonna.

The peas must have some magical mirrors if they think Faith Hill looks bad and some of their styles are fabulous.
Wow. My 9 year old plays MW3. We joke when the bad words come on and he says, "I know mom. I don't say that." He has an older brother (by a couple of years) plus I know other kids in his grade that play. Really, the peas make me feel like I'm abnormal.
meh I'd bet most of their kids play it. They just say they don't. Just like they all only eat organic and have no debt.
Oh come on you know that the peas gifted kids won't waste time playing video games. They are all busy reading age appropriate yet two grade level higher books.
