Boys (and I use that term tongue in cheek, because you are 27 and 28), I have been asking you for 2 weeks to get things shaped up for the holiday. We are having company on Sunday and Monday and the wall where the former medicine cabinet needs to be sheet rocked, taped and painted, and the new medicine cabinet needs to be hung. You missed getting the garbage out again this week, but luckily you got it out last week, so I guess I should be grateful for that. You eat the food I buy and cook. You come and go as you please and don't even offer to empty the dishwasher, vacuum or cook a meal. Your father and I know its tough for you right now, so we won't ask for rent money. So why can't you inconsiderate lazy assholes help out around here?

Kelpea is desperately trying to hang onto her youth. She is always using phrases and language that a teenager would use. It isn't cute, it is sad. I'd be embarrassed if she was my mother, you know the type. The ones that try so hard to be the cool mom but they just end up looking pathetic.
Kids learn how to read by being read to early and often. They memorize the books they hear, figure out that the words on the page mean what they hear, and decode from there. A kid doesn't have to be a genius for that to happen.
Learning to read by memorization isn't a good way to learn to read, they should be taught phonics so when they come upon a word they don't know or haven't seen before they can sound it out instead of being told what it is.

Kids learn how to read by being read to early and often. They memorize the books they hear, figure out that the words on the page mean what they hear, and decode from there. A kid doesn't have to be a genius for that to happen.
Learning to read by memorization isn't a good way to learn to read, they should be taught phonics so when they come upon a word they don't know or haven't seen before they can sound it out instead of being told what it is.
