I addressed the MrsTyphus Santa scrooge thread in the last Space. Here's my thoughts. The Typhus family cannot afford anymore than two presents per child. They are house poor. So they make their kids suffer at Christmas time because of it. NOT going to that party because she doesn't want to buy her kids a gift is being a scrooge. IF they can't play by HER rules, she won't go. NICE!
Personally, I'd rather live in a much more modest home and buy my kids presents. I grew up poor but my parents made sure we had a great Christmas EVERY year! THAT I remember!

We've been to couple of Christmas events like this in the past and no one gave their kids any really expensive gift. Most were books, coloring books/crayons, hot wheels, polly pockets or stuff animals.

$100 per kid could be stingy depending on the kids age. For a toddler/preschooler it would be fine. Their toys aren't that expensive. The older the kid the more the toys cost.

The pic on her blog when she started graying showed a lot of her dark color still. Now it looks to be the same color. I would venture to say she had a colorist make it all one shade of gray, sadly. Her skin looks horrible with this color, it's very ashy looking. It didn't look horrible dark.

The pic on her blog when she started graying showed a lot of her dark color still. Now it looks to be the same color. I would venture to say she had a colorist make it all one shade of gray, sadly. Her skin looks horrible with this color, it's very ashy looking. It didn't look horrible dark.

I think MSP got a pass on the whole thing- calling a white person trash (even without the white there) is no different than calling a black man boy - it's a racial pejorative. Of course with Lauren melting down and throwing spic around and then redboots wading in with Jew school, I can see why no one focused on it.
