My kids are about the same age as hers and are pretty awesome, too. They never gave us any trouble, both did well in school, graduated from great colleges, got jobs in their fields, etc.

My kids are about the same age as hers and are pretty awesome, too. They never gave us any trouble, both did well in school, graduated from great colleges, got jobs in their fields, etc.

Yes she did. And when I suggested on this blog that more than likely she had both private and federal (ie taxpayer subsidized) insurance and would more than likely not only be fine, but actually come out ahead, everyone jumped all over me for being a bitch.
In fact, a record amount of insurance was paid out to farmers from the drought. The payouts ranged from 90 - 110% of projected yields, depending on the policies purchased. I highly suspect that the OP of that thread, having been in farming for a lot of years, had more than adequate cover. I think the fact they are building a new home is proof positive.
