OMG...that poor rabbit!! We have a Holland lop and I would never let him run loose. In my neighbor, he would end up as a coyote snack or carried off by a hawk.

Alright, this is the real Yubon. I haven't been around much and was just noticing in the last thread on here that people thought I was bragging that I went to Disney. Uhhh, no. Anyone can go to Disney, just like anyone can go to Vegas. That's nothing to brag about. My Disney trip was a lot of fun though (mostly for DS, which was fun to watch) and I just wanted to show how cute my DS is! Plus I loved all the X-Mas decorations and was hoping to see more pics from other Peas. But I went to disboards and found more there.
I haven't been on TP hardly at all the last 6 months. Yes, now that I'm divorced I'm finally going on "real" vacations. If I had been in the mood to brag, I would have posted some of my 300+ pics from the 3 weeks I spent in Oslo and Stockholm in August, and my $600/night room in Stockholm overlooking the Swedish Royal Palace. But I haven't done that. Oops, I just did. :p
I don't expect anyone to give a shit about where I've gone this year, just like I don't really give a shit where anyone else has gone. I did love Pudgy's pics from Italy and Hawkmoon's from Scotland though. I gave something homemade this year. I lost my job this summer and it was either make something or don't give gifts. I kind of apologized when they were opening them, but they actually really seemed to like them. I was prepared for a lukewarm response, but even my nephew came over afterwards and asked me how they were made and could he get a couple of blank ones to add to the one I made.
I actually think they really did like them. Or maybe they really like me and didn't want to hurt my feelings. Either way, they were really receptive to them.
I have issues with the mountains of food gifts we get from work, neighbors, family, friends.
We couldn't - and wouldnt - eat all that sugary, chocolatey, high carb crap. I'm never gonna make the homemade cookie mix either.

This has been speculated that this movie is where Jim Henson got the idea for naming the muppets but it isn't true. People very close to Jim Henson who were around him at the time he created Bert and Ernie say that he just liked names. He may have at some point seen the movie but those closest to Jim Henson say he just didn't remember things like that. So it is merely a coincidence that the muppets are Bert and Ernie, just like the cop and taxi driver from It's A Wonderful Life.

We had an emergency room visit and emergency surgery to pay for from November, and we lost our health insurance earlier this year due to job loss. So our extended family and friends got homemade treats made by me and that's it. The children got toys but we had no money to spend otherwise this holiday.
Maybe they were lying when they all opened the boxes in front of me and started eating what I made. I guess I appreciated their faking me out that just getting homemade crap was ok.
