So I've been up all night because for weeks my husband (very ill/recovering from major surgery) has been spending nights awake so I have been hanging out with him, why not right?
So he slept all day and evening and woke up around 3am and I'm awake and he starts crap with me. He loves to do shit like turn the tv on so loud you can't stand it. I was across the room and asked "what movie is it?" and he flipped the fuck out. He shut it off, said "I guess I'm not watching t.v.". I try to talk to him (because quite frankly that is some bull shit to act like that) and he tells me to shut the fuck up. Ummm, I hadn't done anything wrong. I just love how when he's in a mood he turns shit on me like this.
So now he's asleep and I'm freakin' pissed off (more at myself, he is just plain ignorant and I'm mad at myself for playing into this shit).
So you're probably thinking, ok, these people are in their 20s right? No, we're in our 40s and have been married for almost 25 years. I have been taking care of him the last few years because he's been on his death bed (literally) a few times because of an illness and this is the thanks I get.
I understand he could just be angry about it all (being ill) but DAMN! Is this shit normal? (ill people doing this to people around them?) Does anyone know?

San Diego County Employee Retirement is handled by SDCERA and our pension is funded by monies invested where the County can't touch it.
The worst that could happen would be that current employees might have to pay more into retirement than I did, but for those who are already retired, or are retiring soon, even that wouldn't impact us.
JustLizzy chose to retire early, left a secure job with full benefits in CA to move to MO with a smaller pension, and no health insurance whatsoever.
And then came complaining to the Pod about having no health insurance because she has health issues. Someone almost started a Paypal account for her, but it got smacked down fast.
--------- I think I was wrong about disability. She gets a full pension, but was not able to buy into COBRA because she left the state. Still, she retired at 50, and despite what she said in 2009, she didn't go back to work. Instead she got on Two Peas around the holidays and made it sound like she was suicidal about her financial situation, to the point where people wanted send her money. Who knows, maybe some did.

What an odd thing to want for your laundry detergent. Cedar chips make me think of hamster cages. -------------- It probably isn't detergent it's the smell of clothing that has been in storage. I know the stuff from some thrift stores has that smell and it takes a couple of washes to get it out. So you're probably thinking, ok, these people are in their 20s right? No, we're in our 40s and have been married for almost 25 years. I have been taking care of him the last few years because he's been on his death bed (literally) a few times because of an illness and this is the thanks I get.

San Diego County Employee Retirement is handled by SDCERA and our pension is funded by monies invested where the County can't touch it.
The worst that could happen would be that current employees might have to pay more into retirement than I did, but for those who are already retired, or are retiring soon, even that wouldn't impact us.

I think I was wrong about disability. She gets a full pension, but was not able to buy into COBRA because she left the state. Still, she retired at 50, and despite what she said in 2009, she didn't go back to work. Instead she got on Two Peas around the holidays and made it sound like she was suicidal about her financial situation, to the point where people wanted send her money. Who knows, maybe some did.

It probably isn't detergent it's the smell of clothing that has been in storage. I know the stuff from some thrift stores has that smell and it takes a couple of washes to get it out. That is the main reason I stopped shopping there because even the 'like new' stuff was stinky from whatever they treat the clothing with for bugs and disease.
My ds and his fiancee keep stressing, "This is all you are doing so just make us proud," which of course makes me feel terrible.

Yeah, we are going to start testing the girls next, oldest to youngest. Bennet had the most symptoms, so we started with him. The test is expensive and insurance doesn't cover any of it... Any of Lyme treatment at all, actually. So, I don't know what we will do if they all need treatment. We might have to treat them one at a time just to be able to afford it
