Mary Mary does have parties for her kids just not ones where she invites the 3rd grade to Chuck-E-Cheeze. They also do many things as a family but they don't take standard Pea approved trip to Disney type vacations each year. Have you seen where they live? They live in the sort of place people go to vacation. Her kids are hardly deprived for lack of vacation retreats.

I read her blog once in a while (marymary) and from everything I've read, she is an excellent mom who adores her children. She doesn't seem to spoil them like some peas do with theirs, nor does she ignore them. I see a nice balance there. They do lots of things as a family like hikes, etc.
She is also committed to her own family to the point she has taken some of them in during a rough patch in their lives.
I don't see how anyone could have an issue with her. You may not be a fan to her type of humor, or you may just generally dislike her for being a Mormon, but can you really say she is a shitty mom for having 5 kids?
Her husband is a doctor. I have no doubt they can afford their family just fine. I don't see a lot of extravagances when I'm on her blog. Lots of second hand things redone to suit her taste and entertainment may be a hike nearby or the play equipment in the yard. Just ordinary life to me.
As far as all the children needing, or possibly needing treatment and testing for Lyme, how could anyone possibly have foreseen such a thing? I'm sure she feels just terrible knowing that she passed it along to the kids, but how about focusing on the fact that she now knows what to look for and will get them all tested and treated.
I saw that she was worried about paying for it, but I get the feeling she is used to trying hard to live responsibly and not overspend. I don't doubt that they will come up with whatever it takes to get the kids all tested. And maybe they won't all need treatment.

I am continually puzzled my the sense of entitlement 99.9% of the military members and their families. (and I'm not talking about injured soldiers here - they deserve everything they get)
1) Under what rock have you been to NOT KNOW that the military does not pay well?
2) Why do so MANY military members have so many freaking children? Except for high up officers, every military family I know consists of 3,4 and 5 children. Low pay = one or two children. Have what you can afford for pity sake.
2) Two to four years in the military (esp if you never face combat) should not entitle you to discounts on every thing, FOREVER! (I'm so sick of reading the bitching about wanting bigger Disney discounts. Cripe - you can't seem to afford housing, food and clothing. So - do not go to Disney!)
3) Did you seriously NOT know your guy was in the service or going in the service when you met him? So - why the hell did you marry someone with so little prospects for the future that the best he could do was join the military for crappy pay, housing etc??
4) And talk about entitlement. The benefits that follow the military after leaving the service are part of the entitlement programs you are all bitching about. Pensions, education and medical benefits for past military and their families are costing this country a lot of money. Time for a cut to those benefits. We all need to feel the pain - no one should be exempt from federal cuts.

I am continually puzzled my the sense of entitlement 99.9% of the military members and their families. (and I'm not talking about injured soldiers here - they deserve everything they get)
1) Under what rock have you been to NOT KNOW that the military does not pay well?
2) Why do so MANY military members have so many freaking children? Except for high up officers, every military family I know consists of 3,4 and 5 children. Low pay = one or two children. Have what you can afford for pity sake.
2) Two to four years in the military (esp if you never face combat) should not entitle you to discounts on every thing, FOREVER! (I'm so sick of reading the bitching about wanting bigger Disney discounts. Cripe - you can't seem to afford housing, food and clothing. So - do not go to Disney!)
3) Did you seriously NOT know your guy was in the service or going in the service when you met him? So - why the hell did you marry someone with so little prospects for the future that the best he could do was join the military for crappy pay, housing etc??
4) And talk about entitlement. The benefits that follow the military after leaving the service are part of the entitlement programs you are all bitching about. Pensions, education and medical benefits for past military and their families are costing this country a lot of money. Time for a cut to those benefits. We all need to feel the pain - no one should be exempt from federal cuts.

I felt it was best,safe at home with his dad and grandfather. It wasn't like it was a weekly thing,we had just gotten the internet and everyone was curious..
