Yes you can get a prom dress for less than $100 at a department store, its when you go to a bridal store or a prom dress store that the dresses start at $200 and go up. These are fancy dresses that also may need alterations and special undergarments. When my girls were in hs they each were allowed to get their dresses fromt the bridal store for their JUNIOR prom. We also paid for a updo at the salon for each of them. Other years they could get their dress from the department store.

Wtf? I know prom court is all a big popularity thing and while I don't agree with everything that goes along with that, I was just stating that the junior prom is a big deal at our local high school. When the kids are Juniors they get to really splurge and dress up. No I wasn't excited about spending the money on a fancy dress for one night, but it was a rite of passage and I didn't want to let my girls down. I grew up poor and it meant alot to me to be able to give that to both of them.

These are fancy dresses that also may need alterations and special undergarments. When my girls were in hs they each were allowed to get their dresses fromt the bridal store for their JUNIOR prom. We also paid for a updo at the salon for each of them.

Wtf? I know prom court is all a big popularity thing and while I don't agree with everything that goes along with that, I was just stating that the junior prom is a big deal at our local high school.
When the kids are Juniors they get to really splurge and dress up. No I wasn't excited about spending the money on a fancy dress for one night, but it was a rite of passage and I didn't want to let my girls down.
I grew up poor and it meant alot to me to be able to give that to both of them.

Actually I think it has something to do with yearbooks. If they take the photos from junior prom, they appear in the next year's yearbook which will usually be the Senior yearbook for those juniors.

NO. As much as I despise squillen-she never promised to help the pea who was losing her house. The pea had posted a thread with some questions, and squillen made a rude ass comment about what a loser she was for being in a tough financial situation and basically calling her a squatter for expecting not to be evicted immediately.
Someone else made some comment about squillen helping her out, but squillen never promised that--she's too much of a cunty bitch to ever help someone out.
As far as the cookie-gate thing, when it was all going down, and the arguments were being re-hased ad nauseum, squillen basically came out and said that she had just done it to stir the pot-complete with the smirking smilie. Yet she and her defenders claimed that the facebook thread was just "joking around." They're all full of shit.
squillen is mean, nasty, cunty and sneaky enough to be Captain K. And it would be just like her to use a troll alter.
