Lord, I am tired of Lauren's "holier than thou" attitude. "I only buy organic, blah, blah, blah". JFC - if she had been eating like that for the last 20 years she would NOT have needed weight loss surgery.
Weight-loss surgery for people like her is just a cop-out. I am not impressed by her 160 weight loss. Surgery for people like her is the lazy-mans weight loss plan. (Yes I know there are people who really need it - L is just not one of them.)
Lose weight the hard way - by diet and exercise - then come on the board and gloat about how much you've lost.
Sorry - just having a bad/hungry day. It just grates on my every nerve to hear her spouting out about healthy eating when she couldn't manage to lose weight with out surgical help.
L'Urine will be back to pre-surgery weight within 24 months. Remember her Butterfinger flavored protein shakes? The Special K crackers and Skinny Cow ice cream that she thinks aren't processed junk just show you that she's still clueless and looking to eat like she used to.
Those are the ones who always gain it back.
And yes, the surgery for many is a cop-out. L'Urine is most definitely one of those.

I'm 101 and I tested positive 4 years ago then didn't get checked again until last month.It came back positive again, but since it's a new dr she wants to wait another year to test again. I know this isn't the right place to ask, but I can't bring myself to ask those rocket surgeons at the bucket.
110...I had an abnormal pap, they had me come in 3 months later for a second pap, that was abnormal as well. They checked for HPV (negative), I ended up with a LEEP...that was normal as well. I've since had normal paps...no cause for the abnormal paps was found. I would push back with your Dr, since this is your second abnormal pap...maybe one more in 3 months??
Thanks 111 I'm in my early 40's with small kids (1 of which is special needs) and the thought of something being seriously wrong terrifies me. I think I will call and make a 3 mo appt.

I have a friend who kept getting pap smears every 3 months until they were normal. She did this for a couple of years.
When she joined the military and had an irregular pap smear, she told them what the previous doctors said. They laughed and told her they don't play that game. She had endometriosis which required surgery.
I'm 114. Sorry, it was for four years she went through that before joining the military.

Having an infant/toddler is exhausting, a ton of never-ending work and sleep deprivation. Two babies is double the crazytown and it doesn't sound like she has help, correct?
When my kids were small and sleeping I had plenty of housework to catch up on, meals to cook, laundry to get done, bills to pay, etc. Or I'd occasionally try to catch some sleep myself when they were down.
Olympic-caliber recreational shopping was way down on the priority list.

I know there are other peas out there (myself included) who have the means to spend what they want each month, we however aren't as crass as BH to put numbers out. I don't doubt her monthly spending, but something about her post screams 'trying too hard, look how $ I have' to me. At a time when so many are hurting financially her post is extremely insensitive.
I don't even know how much I spend a month, hell I don't want to know. I buy luxury goods for my own personal use and I can get a bit carried away at times. Back when my kids were little it wasn't too hard to get in over my head with the spending, I was addicted to online shopping. I've sought therapy to help me with my shopping addiction, which in some ways has tamed my out of control desire to shop. but I still have my days.. the difference not too is I don't hide my purchases from my dh, he knows every big ticket item purchase I make.

I'm ashamed to admit it but I am jealous of BH's ability to spend that much per month on dumbass stuff. We don't make as much a year as she blows on junk. We did back before 09 when dh lost his job, new one was a 10k pay cut and no insurance. But at least he's working my. My job is part time until our youngest is old enough to stay home after school, 2014 so not to far away. Then I'll go full time and we'll hopefully be able to start getting back on track.

Marie- I know I will sound absolutely crazy to you, but one great way to cut costs with twins is to use cloth diapers! I spent $250 on Best Bottoms diapers for my girls and the savings is absolutely huge! If you are bent on using dispoables, I would say you'd go through a $20 box (a little over 100 diapers) in a little less than a week.
The formula thing is, unfortunately, very pricy. I go through 1 quart of formula per day, but that is only supplementing. I'm guessing you'll go through two quarts per day. You'll probably go through a $30 can in a week. However, if you can get WIC, they will give you formula.
So, all in all, I'm guessing $50 per week at the low end.
What the heck does Bostonheart's husband do for a living? She was just a nanny - how would a nanny land a guy that makes the kind of money BH spends in a month?
