I was (still am) skeptical about Bumpea's claim that her husbands company laid off 30,000 employees. I figured Google would certainly have tons of articles and outrage all over the internet.
The closest I can find is Siemans - which is a German-owned multi-national conglomerate, that just recently laid off employees in their Wind Energy subsidiary - which coincidentally matches the number she said were laid off - around 600 in multiple places, one being Florida where she lives.
I'm still not finding any one company that laid off 30,000 workers, however, Siemens owns a shit-ton of companies, so who knows.
I did find articles stating that if the wind-tax credit doesn't get extended, that the entire industry will lose 37,000 jobs in 2013. Guess who wants to extend the credit and who doesn't?
Bottom line - if a German owned global company lays people off, it probably isn't Obama's fault or doing. And if it is that company, you can blame Republicans for blocking the tax-credit extension.

Holy Mother of God, these sound like so much work! And $$$$. Every freakin' year, they get onto a 'new system' and go nutso.
I bought a planner at Target 6 years ago and I only just had to replace it this year because they stopped making the refill inserts for it. I don't need the gimmicks of the crazy planners, I just need something that will allow me to write my stuff in it each day.
I always think the planner/organizing threads are just people thinking a planner will solve all their organization problems. Remember the pea who recently wanted to start a declutter/organize blog rather than just getting to work on it? Classic example.
