I'm single because I haven't found anybody I want to be in a relationship with since my last relationship ended. That doesn't mean I don't date. I choose not to share my dating life with the whole world.
I chose to concentrate on my career rather than becoming a mom and wife. It's a challenge to maintain a relationship when you travel about 60% of the year. Sometimes I regret that, but I have a good job that I enjoy.
My job requires that I work with celebrities. Much like you probably talk about your life, this is MY life. I don't consider it "name dropping." If you don't like it, put me on ignore. It won't bother me a bit!
I don't remember bragging about celebs either, but whatever. If it was a hot topic, I missed it too. :)

Not the white trash comment maker but something I have noticed. IRL the truly poor like bottom of the barrel don't have a pot to piss in poor don't care. They wear what they want, don't follow fashion and just live life. I have noticed the same is truly for the truly upper class. It is everyone in the middle who fall all over themselves trying to look like something they are not. The lower middle class try to look "rich" the upper middle class try to look "ghetto" or become "hipsters" to prove they are "in touch" with the world.

I think it is a mental mindset when you see yourself as lower middle class you are always aiming to show people you are more/better/worthy when your are upper middle class you get self conscious and constantly try to justify things you buy and really downplay things because deep in your heart you know you are REALLY lucky but still feel twinges of guilt about your social and financial position.
I don't know why, but I am still SHOCKED at what some of the peas allow their DH's to do. I would much rather be single than married to some of the lazy-asses they are married to!! (for the record, I am very happily married to a guy who understands respect and how to behave in a partnership)

If you don't think $500k a year is rich you are clueless. The average dual income family in the U.S. makes about $70k a year. Making $500K even as a dual income family would put you in the top 1% of income earners. That is rich.
To be honest insults like "right out of the trailer park" don't hurt me a bit. I have lived in a trailer park in my life time and may live in one again at some point. That is the lifestyle that is within my ability to afford. I work and always will. I simply do not earn a great deal of money. I do however have qualities that clearly you cannot purchase with money.
ok I own a couple of Coach Bags, for me they were a splurge. I don't normally shell out hundreds of dollars for items for myself. I believe mine both cost around $200 each. They happened to be bought at the outlet store because I refuse to pay full price for anything. To me that is a lot of money. It's a couple days wages, or groceries for the family for a week. I'm 89, and I never said the man wasn't to blame. I'll be honest, I never thought about my DH's birth certificate until we needed to get our passports. I guess I am stupid and incompetent as well, right? In the OP's case, I wouldn't be pea-livid at her MIL, but I would be upset. bostonheart and her adoption reminds me of Nora Griffin from a few years ago. She has a popular blog. They did an "open" adoption and got very, very close with the birth mother....way too close. Dinners out, shopping, salon appointments...yada, yada.
Anyway, they named the baby and set up a nursery much like BH. Sent out announcements, baby showers, all that jizz.
Well, the kid had the baby, they took her home and within a few days, the kid decided she wanted her baby back and got it back. It was a fucking horrible mess, total cluster fuck.
A friend of mine was in the delivery room for two birth moms that changed their minds after the babies were born. I can't imagine. Everytime I see Bostonheart posting I just cringe for her. I know what you mean, 164. My kids were small for their ages and we used our stroller longer than most families... by the time they were 3.5 there was no way they would have been willing to ride in a stroller. They walked at Disney, the mall,etc.

If you don't think $500k a year is rich you are clueless. The average dual income family in the U.S. makes about $70k a year. Making $500K even as a dual income family would put you in the top 1% of income earners. That is rich.
To be honest insults like "right out of the trailer park" don't hurt me a bit. I have lived in a trailer park in my life time and may live in one again at some point. That is the lifestyle that is within my ability to afford. I work and always will. I simply do not earn a great deal of money. I do however have qualities that clearly you cannot purchase with money.
ok I own a couple of Coach Bags, for me they were a splurge. I don't normally shell out hundreds of dollars for items for myself. I believe mine both cost around $200 each. They happened to be bought at the outlet store because I refuse to pay full price for anything. To me that is a lot of money. It's a couple days wages, or groceries for the family for a week. So does that make me white trash?

I'm 89, and I never said the man wasn't to blame. I'll be honest, I never thought about my DH's birth certificate until we needed to get our passports. I guess I am stupid and incompetent as well, right? In the OP's case, I wouldn't be pea-livid at her MIL, but I would be upset. bostonheart and her adoption reminds me of Nora Griffin from a few years ago. She has a popular blog. They did an "open" adoption and got very, very close with the birth mother....way too close. Dinners out, shopping, salon appointments...yada, yada.
Anyway, they named the baby and set up a nursery much like BH. Sent out announcements, baby showers, all that jizz.
Well, the kid had the baby, they took her home and within a few days, the kid decided she wanted her baby back and got it back. It was a fucking horrible mess, total cluster fuck.
