I was driving home from work scanning the radio stations and I passed a religious station that was discussing the fact that the "pro-abortion" White House counts babies as people when counting how many of the public can go on the White House tour. Apparently if there is a pregnant lady, they count her and her unborn baby. They were frothing about the administration being hypocrites about abortion when they are counting fetuses for the tours. OMG What does that have to do with the price of eggs in China?? There is an example of an obscure fact and harping on it for what reason?? I'm sure this rule wasn't instituted JUST for this administration.

One of my best friends is a Fox loving GOP'er (we just don't talk politics) and what amazes me is that she is taking advantage of Obamacare by putting her 20 year old son on her insurance, her one sister is an addict and she gets $140 a month in food stamps. She's perfectly capable of working but just doesn't want to. The other sister has been living in subsidized housing for 15 years, and there is no reason for her to be doing so. Her daughter has a one year old that she has on the child medicaid program even though she has perfectly good insurance at work that she could add her to. So many people in the family taking advantage of all of the programs she rails against on a daily basis (just not to me, most of the time.)
I have an aquaintance who is not working and on disability due to a major chronic illness. I have no problem with this - I'm glad there's a goverment safety net so people like him don't die under a bridge.
I do however have problems with all his FB bitching about goverment, government workers, and, of course, the horrors of socialism. @@

I realize she wants to use the system but I want to point something out. Not everyone that is disabled uses the system. Most of the time they are denied (if they try to get assistance) because they have too much money but I'm sure they can check back when their life savings is gone..
Not everyone uses "the shits" to claim disability. There are people who have real disabilities and no help from anyone until they are almost destitute (i.e. sell your house, your vehicles, your possessions and use that money before trying to get help anywhere).

OMG What does that have to do with the price of eggs in China?? There is an example of an obscure fact and harping on it for what reason?? I'm sure this rule wasn't instituted JUST for this administration.

She's perfectly capable of working but just doesn't want to. The other sister has been living in subsidized housing for 15 years, and there is no reason for her to be doing so. Her daughter has a one year old that she has on the child medicaid program even though she has perfectly good insurance at work that she could add her to. So many people in the family taking advantage of all of the programs she rails against on a daily basis (just not to me, most of the time.)

I realize she wants to use the system but I want to point something out. Not everyone that is disabled uses the system. Most of the time they are denied (if they try to get assistance) because they have too much money but I'm sure they can check back when their life savings is gone..
Not everyone uses "the shits" to claim disability. There are people who have real disabilities and no help from anyone until they are almost destitute (i.e. sell your house, your vehicles, your possessions and use that money before trying to get help anywhere).
