I loved annabella's post yesterday about her office lunch. It was a party for someone else, and they were ordering in lunch. She 'overheard' that the office was ordering a separate entree (a salad) for her, since she is vegetarian. Rather than speak up right then, she stayed quiet, and was going to just snub the lunch that was specially ordered for her and paid for, and sit with her office and eat the lunch she brought. Oh right because his new Dr. is going to make sure he has an appointment before his medication runs out. The new Dr. is also going to call him in a prescription without ever meeting him/seeing him first.

You two posters (or one? LOL) don't have insurance or regular Dr's do you? Insurance can be changed by an employer pretty damn quick and there is no time. Sure he could (and it was suggested to her) go to the old Dr. and get a new script...
If it were me, I'd be calling the "old" Dr. and getting them to call one in. My Doc is good like that (and would be even if I switched Docs/Plans)..

In all my life, growing up and going to school myself and now my children going through school, I've never met one gifted person. I don't remember the super smart kids being segregated, no one graduated early. I've never heard of anyone being tested or being called gifted.
83: I am in my 30s, and we had gifted classes in elementary. My kids school has AR (Advanced Reading) in Kindergarten, and some others in later grades. I know a lot of people who were/are advanced or gifted, or have advanced kids. They just don't constantly harp on it like the Peas.

Take several long weekend trips to NYC to see arts performances, attend local ones where I live, go to the symphony, have an excellent job. I didn't say I've not met smart people in my life. RE: What happened to the 'gifted kid'. I reunited with a girl who was identified at being gifted back in middle school. She dropped out of high school halfway through sophomore year so her mom could 'homeschool' her because she couldn't handle being in school anymore. NEVER went to college. Is on her 4th marriage, no kids. Working with her current husband as a painter but that's stalled so both she and her DH got jobs as bank tellers. They have NO health insurance. She has chronic pain issues and cant afford to get medications that she'd need to help make her better.

I immediately renounced Satan and called out scripture and within 5 seconds I felt the veil lift and the Holy Spirit moved into the room. My mind instantly said " I can do this" "trust in me, Amber, I will help you" Wow, I have had moments with the Holy Spirit but this was unmistakably a battle of good and evil. I love that we have the Holy Spirit to call on and cast out the enemy. He is bigger, more powerful and sovereign than the enemy. I have strongholds in my life (anxiety, fear, chronic pain) and the enemy PREYS on me when I get weak. Praise be to God and please share a prayer request or praise!

I loved annabella's post yesterday about her office lunch. It was a party for someone else, and they were ordering in lunch. She 'overheard' that the office was ordering a separate entree (a salad) for her, since she is vegetarian. Rather than speak up right then, she stayed quiet, and was going to just snub the lunch that was specially ordered for her and paid for, and sit with her office and eat the lunch she brought. I'm predicting a thread in the near future where they have another lunch and don't order her a separate entree, and she will be whining about them not doing it.

You two posters (or one? LOL) don't have insurance or regular Dr's do you? Insurance can be changed by an employer pretty damn quick and there is no time. Sure he could (and it was suggested to her) go to the old Dr. and get a new script...
If it were me, I'd be calling the "old" Dr. and getting them to call one in. My Doc is good like that (and would be even if I switched Docs/Plans)..

Take several long weekend trips to NYC to see arts performances, attend local ones where I live, go to the symphony, have an excellent job. I didn't say I've not met smart people in my life. My high school had honors classes. I'm saying I don't know anyone who was tested, had their kids tested, walks around calling themselves or their children gifted. I was selected by teachers to undergo gifted testing in 7th grade - my mother did not initiate the testing. Testing showed I was gifted. I was pulled from a couple of the regular classes and put in more advanced classes with similar individuals. We also did extra assignments that other students were not required to do. I completed high school in 3 years, a full year earlier than the others, at the age of 16. It happens. No need for me to brag about it. Just stating facts.

RE: What happened to the 'gifted kid'. I reunited with a girl who was identified at being gifted back in middle school. She dropped out of high school halfway through sophomore year so her mom could 'homeschool' her because she couldn't handle being in school anymore.
NEVER went to college. Is on her 4th marriage, no kids. Working with her current husband as a painter but that's stalled so both she and her DH got jobs as bank tellers. They have NO health insurance. She has chronic pain issues and cant afford to get medications that she'd need to help make her better.

I immediately renounced Satan and called out scripture and within 5 seconds I felt the veil lift and the Holy Spirit moved into the room. My mind instantly said " I can do this" "trust in me, Amber, I will help you"
Wow, I have had moments with the Holy Spirit but this was unmistakably a battle of good and evil. I love that we have the Holy Spirit to call on and cast out the enemy. He is bigger, more powerful and sovereign than the enemy. I have strongholds in my life (anxiety, fear, chronic pain) and the enemy PREYS on me when I get weak.

I didn't realize she was already on medication. I hope everything works out for her. It's easy to get upset when everything around you seems to be falling apart (all the illness she's mentioned). Easier to do it quietly (or share on a mb) than let her sister etc. see it, imo.)
I also find it ironic that Ella - who was being all sanctimonious about caring for elderly family members on the FrenchToast thread - is now complaining about what a hard time she's having. She stated in that thread that she had no children and no job, but that she'd do anything to care for her family members even if she did.
The dark side of the internet is that it feeds people like Ella. She'd rather get attention than real help, IMO. I hope she gets off the damn computer and into a therapist's office. Lord help you if the peas are the voice of reason in your life.

cyc and mariah seem very much alike. They continually post unsolicited, stupid "advice" on threads where they clearly have no experience, and never will (marriage and children). They're both very bizarre and socially awkward and seem to have not even one little bit self-awareness. Then there's the fact that most peas can't stand them, and they refuse to get a clue and STFU.

I know, right? About 30 years, since she's in her mid to late 40s.
The sad thing is that she was extremely unfortunate looking even way back then in that picture . That in and if itself wouldn't be such a problem, but factoring in her personality just makes her one ugly bitch.
