I know the kids will get ss, but still that was money owed to the kids. The girl friend cleaned out the checking to the point where the child support would clear. That isn't right.

mamahosh is the type that expects everyone to bow to her. Remember when her husband had his surgery? She bitched for days about them sending him home and whatever would she do with her son when she picked her husband up from the hospital blah, blah blah.
My dad who is older than her husband had his hip replaced and was back at work (and not behind a desk) 3 weeks post op. Recovery on a hip is no big deal. My dad went back to all of his normal activites about a month after the surgery.
You have to admit, those babies are beautiful! I just can't imagine myself ever giving up babies, and I hope the couple never have regrets. I also hope she appreciates what she's been given and doesn't ruin those precious babies.
Still, somehow, something just doesn't seem right about this. Maybe because it was too fast and too problem free? I don't know...my spidey senses are alert on this one.
I agree too, 197. How long was it from application to getting these babies? It seemed pretty quick. Most people that I know that are adopting are waiting years not months. Especially for newborns. Also, its interesting that there is no thinking it over time for the parents. I don't know how healthy that is.
On the one hand, great for the adoptive parents. They don't have to fear returning the baby and can start an emotional connection immediately without fear.
But on the other hand, making such a huge decision without the option of thinking it over once the baby is born just seems severe. I think they need some time without all the altered hormones to make sure this is what they want.
She was waiting 18 months to 2 years I think, so it wasn't that fast, but this was the first 'match' she had. She posted a few months ago that everyone else on the books with her agency had been matched except for her. I agree with something being off about this whole thing.
Ok, two years is longer than I thought it was. I just remember the post about wanting a baby shower before there was even a baby on site. NOW would be an appropriate time, but back then just seemed odd.
I hope it is as nice and perfect as she is putting out there. I tried for 5 years before I got pregnant, so I know the pain of all that. I guess this just seems too good to be true. TWO perfectly adorable little babies. I hope it all works out. I just can't get over the state not having any cooling off period in which the couple could change their minds. I haven't seen much about the birthmom at all, no age, no reason for giving up the babies, nothing about the dad. Those posted pics are odd too, I would post some descriptions with each photo, such as "baby on the left is the girl" or "Here I am holding ..."etc Would the adoptive mom have to wear hospital tags?

mamahosh is the type that expects everyone to bow to her. Remember when her husband had his surgery? She bitched for days about them sending him home and whatever would she do with her son when she picked her husband up from the hospital blah, blah blah.
My dad who is older than her husband had his hip replaced and was back at work (and not behind a desk) 3 weeks post op. Recovery on a hip is no big deal. My dad went back to all of his normal activites about a month after the surgery.

You have to admit, those babies are beautiful! I just can't imagine myself ever giving up babies, and I hope the couple never have regrets. I also hope she appreciates what she's been given and doesn't ruin those precious babies.

I agree too, 197. How long was it from application to getting these babies? It seemed pretty quick. Most people that I know that are adopting are waiting years not months. Especially for newborns. Also, its interesting that there is no thinking it over time for the parents. I don't know how healthy that is.
On the one hand, great for the adoptive parents. They don't have to fear returning the baby and can start an emotional connection immediately without fear.
But on the other hand, making such a huge decision without the option of thinking it over once the baby is born just seems severe. I think they need some time without all the altered hormones to make sure this is what they want.
Do many states have this "no backing out" policy?
She was waiting 18 months to 2 years I think, so it wasn't that fast, but this was the first 'match' she had. She posted a few months ago that everyone else on the books with her agency had been matched except for her.

Ok, two years is longer than I thought it was. I just remember the post about wanting a baby shower before there was even a baby on site. NOW would be an appropriate time, but back then just seemed odd.
I hope it is as nice and perfect as she is putting out there. I tried for 5 years before I got pregnant, so I know the pain of all that. I guess this just seems too good to be true. TWO perfectly adorable little babies. I hope it all works out. I just can't get over the state not having any cooling off period in which the couple could change their minds. Did she post that they were super young or something? Why give these babies away?
I'm not at the pod everyday and I don't read all threads, so possibly I missed some things, but the lack of detail has made me a bit suspicious. I haven't seen much about the birthmom at all, no age, no reason for giving up the babies, nothing about the dad.
Those posted pics are odd too, I would post some descriptions with each photo, such as "baby on the left is the girl" or "Here I am holding ..."etc
