There most certainly is. There a new automated software program that looks for keywords in a poster's posts. Plus, they will be hiring more STJ's to moderate the board.
The non-crafters make up such a tiny part of the board it is not worth the time and money to patrol them. This blog makes NSBR a huge thing but the handful of trouble making non-crafters on the entire site is really low. Simply blocking a few ISPs from time to time would solve the issue. New software and new employees is a massive waste of time and money. In this economy a bone head move like that could sink a small company like 2peas.

I have a real question about IEPs and 504s and the other 'special snowflake school plans'...how is a teacher supposed to teach all the normal kids?? I have 3 regular kids, no labels or anything, and I don't know much about them. I fear asking anyone, as I don't want to offend, but really, how can a teacher teach a class when she has 10 regular students and 10 special snowflakes that need special teaching styles and all that crap?

And how can all of these parents of kids on IEP's then say how "super brilliant" their "on the spectrum" child is? They very often get LESS HOMEWORK. Their in-class assignments are totally modified from what the regular class does. They get EXTRA TIME on ALL TESTS. OR the TESTS ARE RE-WRITTEN just for them.
Parents claim all of these "special modifications" help level the playing field, but inactuality, everything at school is now greatly skewed to help the special snowflakes suceed. How is that fair to the normal student who doesn't get any special dispensations?

I have a real question about IEPs and 504s and the other 'special snowflake school plans'...how is a teacher supposed to teach all the normal kids?? I have 3 regular kids, no labels or anything, and I don't know much about them. I fear asking anyone, as I don't want to offend, but really, how can a teacher teach a class when she has 10 regular students and 10 special snowflakes that need special teaching styles and all that crap?

And how can all of these parents of kids on IEP's then say how "super brilliant" their "on the spectrum" child is? They very often get LESS HOMEWORK. Their in-class assignments are totally modified from what the regular class does. They get EXTRA TIME on ALL TESTS. OR the TESTS ARE RE-WRITTEN just for them.
Parents claim all of these "special modifications" help level the playing field, but inactuality, everything at school is now greatly skewed to help the special snowflakes suceed. How is that fair to the normal student who doesn't get any special dispensations?
If Muellertime was on the up and up about her husband's sobriety and involvement in AA (as well as hers), she would have answered the question like: "My husband has been sober 1 year, 4 months and 15 days." And/or named his sober startdate.
