I have RSD/CRPS and my "something" is pretty much anything that requires 2 hands. I am so very blessed that my 2 dd's (14 & 13) do all of our housework and most of the laundry. My amazing DH does everything else and on the days I can't cook any one of them takes on the job. It might mean we only eat mac & cheese or pb&j but we eat.
They love and take care of me better than I could have ever hoped for and being cursed with this dibilitating disease has made me realize just what an amazing family I have!

I-95 bitching because the state of Florida won't pay for care for her disabled children because they did a home check and decided she could afford the care for them herself. Not the next day because special snowflake doesn't like deadlines or needs time and a half like a lot of kids now get on tests due to ADHD.
The employer may be tricked into hiring some of this darlings but once they start fucking up there won't be accommodations there will be terminations.
I don't think most of the special ones will even get hired. If you ask for all the accommodations they need I'm sure someone else will be found for the job.

I didn't make a frother political list but Pineapple and Typhus would be right near the top. Skybar would of course top it. Lynlam would also be in the top 5. There are just so many of them. Aggiesmom92 is deluding herself if she thinks employers are going to give her kid the kind of breaks schools do. When a boss says they want something by 4pm they want it at 4pm. Not the next day because special snowflake doesn't like deadlines or needs time and a half like a lot of kids now get on tests due to ADHD.
The employer may be tricked into hiring some of this darlings but once they start fucking up there won't be accommodations there will be terminations.
I don't think most of the special ones will even get hired. If you ask for all the accommodations they need I'm sure someone else will be found for the job.
The ones who really don't have special needs might be able to get low-skilled jobs, like in retail, if only for legal reasons. Then the people who actually work will have to pick up their slack in addition to doing their own jobs. And a new generation of peas will whine about the poor conditions some stores are in.
