She can't handle the stress of driving her mother around, but just a few months ago was talking shit to French Toast for being stressed out about her parents. And, btw, French Toast actually works and takes care of her family, too.
Ella lives a teenager's existence - gets her financial needs taken care of by her mommy and daddy, and then complains about having to help out. Just like a teenager.
Here's Ella's self righteous bullshit from just a couple months ago. I dislike her more now than ever before:
My parents took very good care of me after the break up of my marriage. I was in terrible emotional and physical shape and couldn't care for myself for many years. It's a long story but suffice to say that they took very good care of me and my DS for years.
Now my parents are aging. My Dad is ok but my Mom is getting dementia and I am having to do more and more for her. She is the one who wants to go into a home and we are resisting. She will lose all her independence going into a home plus I would rather take care of her myself (with my Dad's help). She isn't that old. She is 72 and has rheumatoid arthritis. She is on a lot of medications that she can't remember to take so I need to help her with those and I usually drive her to most of her medical appointments. I also drive my Dad to the ones he can't drive himself to (and there are some).
I don't mind doing it. I have been doing it for the last several years and it would be weird not to take care of them now in their latter years. Sure it is hard work. I do the best I can and point that out to my Mother. She knows that. I also take care of my sister who has terminal scleroderma. She isn't going to die this year but will probably in the next 3-5 years. I take her to most of her appointments. BIL works so it's hard for him to get lots of time off from work to take her to them and my Mom shouldn't be driving anymore so it's up to me.
Now if I could just make them get ready for me when I am ready to take them life would be good. That means teeth brushed, coats on, purses ready, oxygen on etc. Never happens that way but just once it would be nice.
Anyway this is from another perspective. I am glad to do it. I am not married (thank goodness) and I don't work other than taking care of parents. That's enough for me at this point in my life.

Reading the Jason Alexander thread and I can't believe the ridiculous lengths the pro-gun peeps are going in order to deflect from the fact that George Costanza had a very valid, lucid point. ALso, since when are actors all stupid? There are plenty who actually ARE, but there are also a lot of intelligent people in the acting industry. Some even went to COLLEGE!
I mean, these people have managed to make multi millions of dollars for working just a couple of months a year, if that. (I know, TV is a bit more, but its no 9-5 drudge) I think that is pretty brilliant!!

I don't think she meant it was her dream location, but that's where they were due to the military.
By dream home I think she just means it wasn't a fixer-upper or something they settled for. It was brand new, 5 bedrooms, etc. They were older, they could afford to get the big beautiful home they'd always dreamed of.

I thought Magz had breast cancer. I don't know many women who are undergoing treatment for breast cancer that are encouraged to become pregnant during said treatment.....
She's been over her cancer for awhile now, it was a very short treatment time.
I'm surprised she's pregnant. When my mom had breast cancer the treatment ended her periods immediately and they never came back.
But my mom was 46 and that was 20 years ago, maybe there are less harsh treatments now.

I think they lived across the street with her parents for a year, too. I know she had a baby during that time, but...that's a helluva lot of big furniture/clutter/just plain mess. It would drive me nuts to have all that stuff there.
