I used to work for a national chain gym. They rolled out a self check-in for our members in an attempt to downsize. It didn't work, members either didn't want to sign up for it (you had to use your fingerprint) or the machine would malfunction and we'd have to manually check them in anyway.
We belong to the local YMCA. They do self check in with a key fob and scanner. Works perfect. I hate having to wait in line anyway. I can just scan as we walk in and we are on our way to whatever we are there to do.
Some people will just never be happy having to do things for themselves. Fucking lazy. Gosh whatever will I do if there isn't someone there to serve me and then take my abuse when the items ring up incorrectly or it won't take my coupons. Get a damn grip people.

I used to work for a national chain gym. They rolled out a self check-in for our members in an attempt to downsize. It didn't work, members either didn't want to sign up for it (you had to use your fingerprint) or the machine would malfunction and we'd have to manually check them in anyway.
There will still be jobs for people at JCP.
We belong to the local YMCA. They do self check in with a key fob and scanner. Works perfect. I hate having to wait in line anyway. I can just scan as we walk in and we are on our way to whatever we are there to do.
Some people will just never be happy having to do things for themselves. Fucking lazy. Gosh whatever will I do if there isn't someone there to serve me and then take my abuse when the items ring up incorrectly or it won't take my coupons. Get a damn grip people.
