I hope they get charged the full amount and their credit card won't reverse the charges because it was a custom item.

I wish I could say I was shocked there isn't more interest in this major news event at the bucket. I think those that lean to the left don't feel like getting into it with those that were so outraged by that report a year or so ago that stated white-supremacist groups are on the rise, and actively seeking out ex-military for membership.

I'm amazed at how many peas have dds who are either 00 or 000 and clearly the mom's are nowhere near that size. Genetics are odd. FWIW my dd was never that tiny, I didn't even know there was a 000. She was never heavy just not super skinny.

My 9 year old boy is 4'9 and 75lbs, and he is VERY skinny. We have to buy him the adjustable waist pants in the slim size, and even then I have to yank the adjustable elastic all the way to the end.
If my kid was an inch taller and 10lbs skinnier he'd look sick.

My DDs are exactly that size. This is how all the kids were in the 70s when I was growing up. Skinny. There was maybe one overweight kid in my class each year. (not the 30 percent that we see today)
Both my kids eat a lot and are very active in their sports and play. Not unhealthy at all. I really do think that as a society, we have gotten used to seeing overweight children, and the norm has shifted. both my kids have been told that they are too skinny, but nothing could be farther from the truth.
My mother is on the heavier side, she's not morbidly obese but she's also not thin. I'm 5'8" and 117 lb @ 25 years old. My father is a stick just like me.

I never tried at all to watch my weight and as a teen I was always in a 6 - could've easily been in a 0, 2, or 4 if I had wanted to be, but didn't care about stuff like that.
But now? LOL. Yeah I'm fat. And that's WITH exercising and trying to eat right. There's a world of difference between teen girls and women in their 30s, 40s, etc. I keep telling my niece to enjoy it now - she eats like a pig and is about a size 2. Wish it always stayed that easy.

I was stick thin in my teens and 20's. Then babies, a desk job, middle age, and menopause came along. Now I'm curvy LOL.
I was just about to say "anything but white" since white appliances are as dated as wall to wall carpeting. The rest of her post she describes the other appliances, unless she plans on changing *all* of them how can she go with anything *but* white?
Some people don't go by trends or what is "dated". They put what they LOVE in their homes. Sure if you're going to move in 5 years, maybe go with what's in, but other than that, why not decorate your house the way YOU want?
I need new appliances soon and I don't care what anyone says, I'm geting white. I don't like the look of stainless steel appliances, and the black ones are horrid. My MIL got black b/c she felt she had to and she cried for 3 days at how monstrous the fridge looks in her kitchen. And I hate to say it, but it does. Maybe it would look ok in a bigger, fancier kitchen, but in her little Cape style house, it looks ridiculous.
I also have all hardwoods because that's how the house was when we bought it. And I hesitated to put any carpeting because of how everyone looks down on it now. But you know what? I absolutely HATE these floors. It makes me crazy to see the kids playing on the cold hard floors. And I'd rather vacuum than sweep the stupid dust bunnies any day. If I had the money right now I'd definitely carpet this place and actually enjoy living here instead of being annoyed every day. Plus the hardwoods have scratches now and it's one more thing to put on the "fix" list - ugh.
Pottery Barn clone homes are a dime a dozen. I know because I bought one. They're pretty to look at, and the idea is nice, but I've never loved this house or felt it was our "home". I wish I could go back and do things so differently.
My husband and I purchased a home with all white appliance, but we prefer stainless steel. We're in the process of buying new ones but we can't do it all at once.
When the money is in the budget - we replace an appliance. All that is left to replace is the fridge. It is still relatively new though so we aren't in a huge rush.

Well I'm in my 30s, so no, I personally haven't been in high school in a long time, sadly! But even my own kids' high school classes are this way. I think it's the area we live in - mostly upper middle and middle class families, very health-conscious, everyone's active, people who need to grab fast food will get Fresh City or Subway and usually never McDonald's type stuff, schools serve healthier foods for lunch....kwim?
I totally get that as a nation obesity is a problem and in the cities or in the South, just for examples, there's a bigger percentage of kids who are overweight or obese in the schools. But really I don't see it in our area at all. My older kids are teens and then I have 2 younger ones in elementary, and you just don't see it in either school.

That chica is a neurotic mess. Her post history for the past 6 months is nothing but stupid questions about dating, what to wear, why doesn't he compliment me now that I'm sleeping with him, etc.

I wish I could say I was shocked there isn't more interest in this major news event at the bucket. I think those that lean to the left don't feel like getting into it with those that were so outraged by that report a year or so ago that stated white-supremacist groups are on the rise, and actively seeking out ex-military for membership.
I guess maybe I am somewhat shocked that there isn't a thread about the killer.
In the past, I might have been a bit shocked at the lack of coverage on the shootings in WI.
After a while at 2peas, where the majority view mindless drivel like The Bachelor, Kardashians and Big Brother, I am not at all surprised that they only care about shooting victims when they are white and Christian.

My 9 year old boy is 4'9 and 75lbs, and he is VERY skinny. We have to buy him the adjustable waist pants in the slim size, and even then I have to yank the adjustable elastic all the way to the end.
If my kid was an inch taller and 10lbs skinnier he'd look sick.

My DDs are exactly that size. This is how all the kids were in the 70s when I was growing up. Skinny. There was maybe one overweight kid in my class each year. (not the 30 percent that we see today)
Both my kids eat a lot and are very active in their sports and play. Not unhealthy at all. I really do think that as a society, we have gotten used to seeing overweight children, and the norm has shifted. both my kids have been told that they are too skinny, but nothing could be farther from the truth.
My mother is on the heavier side, she's not morbidly obese but she's also not thin. I'm 5'8" and 117 lb @ 25 years old. My father is a stick just like me.

I never tried at all to watch my weight and as a teen I was always in a 6 - could've easily been in a 0, 2, or 4 if I had wanted to be, but didn't care about stuff like that.
But now? LOL. Yeah I'm fat. And that's WITH exercising and trying to eat right. There's a world of difference between teen girls and women in their 30s, 40s, etc. I keep telling my niece to enjoy it now - she eats like a pig and is about a size 2. Wish it always stayed that easy.

I need new appliances soon and I don't care what anyone says, I'm geting white. I don't like the look of stainless steel appliances, and the black ones are horrid. My MIL got black b/c she felt she had to and she cried for 3 days at how monstrous the fridge looks in her kitchen. And I hate to say it, but it does. Maybe it would look ok in a bigger, fancier kitchen, but in her little Cape style house, it looks ridiculous.
I also have all hardwoods because that's how the house was when we bought it. And I hesitated to put any carpeting because of how everyone looks down on it now. But you know what? I absolutely HATE these floors. It makes me crazy to see the kids playing on the cold hard floors. And I'd rather vacuum than sweep the stupid dust bunnies any day. If I had the money right now I'd definitely carpet this place and actually enjoy living here instead of being annoyed every day. Plus the hardwoods have scratches now and it's one more thing to put on the "fix" list - ugh.
Pottery Barn clone homes are a dime a dozen. I know because I bought one. They're pretty to look at, and the idea is nice, but I've never loved this house or felt it was our "home". I wish I could go back and do things so differently.

Well I'm in my 30s, so no, I personally haven't been in high school in a long time, sadly! But even my own kids' high school classes are this way. I think it's the area we live in - mostly upper middle and middle class families, very health-conscious, everyone's active, people who need to grab fast food will get Fresh City or Subway and usually never McDonald's type stuff, schools serve healthier foods for lunch....kwim?
I totally get that as a nation obesity is a problem and in the cities or in the South, just for examples, there's a bigger percentage of kids who are overweight or obese in the schools. But really I don't see it in our area at all. My older kids are teens and then I have 2 younger ones in elementary, and you just don't see it in either school.
