I'm just like #25. I hate when people ignore that there is such a thing as "popular peas" and that everybody is equal. I have been at the pod for a very long time, used to post pretty often and was known 5 years ago. Now that there is a newer group of peas since then, I would be ignored because of what is now considered a low post count. I read here to find out what is going on, and sometimes go back to read those threads. Otherwise, I really can't care any less about spending all day there. I have about 45 minutes to an hour that I may spend unwinding on the computer every day.

The girl who gave up her daughter for adoption is Brooklin. The guy she dated after all that (he is not the father of the little girl) was the drummer from Big & Rich, Brian Barnett. They ended up getting married but divorced fairly soon after. He is actually deceased now though.
Brooklin used to be on 2Peas a lot quite a few years back when the little girl was an infant and a toddler. She was on less and less once she got married. Now comes on here and there, but not much.
Brooklin posted this in January: Well, I got a msg on fb that the peas were asking about me...so I thought I'd pop in and say hello. As many of you know I placed my daughter for adoption, and set up an open adoption plan. I was 19 at the time, and almost 7 years later I'm still confident in the decision I made for her. She now has 2 younger brothers who also have open adoptions and a little miracle baby sister. We still keep in touch on a regular basis. I love being able to jump on their blog and see what new things she is learning and enjoying. She has recently started singing and as I'm told she is quite good at it! I'm trying to plan a trip to go see her concert at easter time. I have always felt like I absolutely got so lucky to have her parents in her life as well as in mine. They have become more like my favorite family members, rather than the adoptive couple. She will be 7 this month and is healthy, beautiful, smart, sassy...and absolutely lights up my life!!! My crazy life part two...as many of you also know the year after I placed my daughter for adoption I met and married a drummer from nashville and moved out there. We had a whirlwind romance, but in the end decided to split ways. I moved back to utah and have been back here since. We continued to stay close friends, and sadly brian passed away almost 2 months ago. My heart goes out to his children and mother. He was one of the most loving and dedicated father I have met. He will be missed by so many. On to happier things, I am happily engaged and planning a %beach wedding this spring....that is when I can manage to get away from the over load of work I have managing 2 very quickly growing companies! We also adopted a puppy (who's so not a puppy anymore) and I'm now a puppy momma! Hes a little chiweenie and his name is diego! Ill try to come back and post updated pics tomorrow! Hope all of my old buddies are doing well!

Brooklin didn't seem like a bad kid, just a bit young and immature. But the peas really fucked up when they encouraged that wedding to the drummer, they all acted like it was the best thing ever and were fawning over every little detail and telling her romantic it all was. I wanted to post and tell her she was rushing into it and it would never work, she barely knew him and he was twice her age, plus he would be on tour and she would be stuck at home alone. Which is exactly what happened, plus his kids didn't take to her. Trouble is you can't post sensible advice at the pod, because everyone just thinks you are being a negative bitch, even when that is not the case. I was really hoping some of this women would see sense and try to get her to think more clearly, but no such luck. Hopefully she is entering this next marriage with a bit more forethought, and that it works out for her.

The girl who gave up her daughter for adoption is Brooklin. The guy she dated after all that (he is not the father of the little girl) was the drummer from Big & Rich, Brian Barnett. They ended up getting married but divorced fairly soon after. He is actually deceased now though.
Brooklin used to be on 2Peas a lot quite a few years back when the little girl was an infant and a toddler. She was on less and less once she got married. Now comes on here and there, but not much.

Well, I got a msg on fb that the peas were asking about me...so I thought I'd pop in and say hello. As many of you know I placed my daughter for adoption, and set up an open adoption plan. I was 19 at the time, and almost 7 years later I'm still confident in the decision I made for her. She now has 2 younger brothers who also have open adoptions and a little miracle baby sister. We still keep in touch on a regular basis. I love being able to jump on their blog and see what new things she is learning and enjoying. She has recently started singing and as I'm told she is quite good at it! I'm trying to plan a trip to go see her concert at easter time. I have always felt like I absolutely got so lucky to have her parents in her life as well as in mine. They have become more like my favorite family members, rather than the adoptive couple. She will be 7 this month and is healthy, beautiful, smart, sassy...and absolutely lights up my life!!!
My crazy life part two...as many of you also know the year after I placed my daughter for adoption I met and married a drummer from nashville and moved out there. We had a whirlwind romance, but in the end decided to split ways. I moved back to utah and have been back here since. We continued to stay close friends, and sadly brian passed away almost 2 months ago. My heart goes out to his children and mother. He was one of the most loving and dedicated father I have met. He will be missed by so many.
On to happier things, I am happily engaged and planning a %beach wedding this spring....that is when I can manage to get away from the over load of work I have managing 2 very quickly growing companies! We also adopted a puppy (who's so not a puppy anymore) and I'm now a puppy momma! Hes a little chiweenie and his name is diego!
Ill try to come back and post updated pics tomorrow! Hope all of my old buddies are doing well!

WTF is this all about? It sounds kind of scary...
Brooklin didn't seem like a bad kid, just a bit young and immature. But the peas really fucked up when they encouraged that wedding to the drummer, they all acted like it was the best thing ever and were fawning over every little detail and telling her romantic it all was.
I wanted to post and tell her she was rushing into it and it would never work, she barely knew him and he was twice her age, plus he would be on tour and she would be stuck at home alone. Which is exactly what happened, plus his kids didn't take to her. Trouble is you can't post sensible advice at the pod, because everyone just thinks you are being a negative bitch, even when that is not the case. I was really hoping some of this women would see sense and try to get her to think more clearly, but no such luck.
Hopefully she is entering this next marriage with a bit more forethought, and that it works out for her.
