Luckywife: I use 'queer' all of the time, and I never intend it to be derogatory. I consider myself to have a queer identity because I'd rather not define myself as a specific label, nor would really 'fit' a specific term. I have friends that are specifically gay, but a majority of my friends don't define themselves nor do they really fit in with any label- gay, bisexual, lesbian, etc. My BFF also uses 'queer' because she prefers women, but her partner is gender queer so it complicates things. Anyways, the term queer can be used to be derogatory, but in the right sense it can just be an all-inclusive term that helps to identify people that don't fit into the categories that our language allows for.

Save yourselves some cash:
1. Buy felt, buttons, beads & other decorative items in various colors. Buy french lace or netting for veil piece.
2. Play with netting/lace until desired birdcage effect is achieved. Pin into place.
3. Cut different sized flowers out of said felt, keeping in mind that you will layer pieces to create each flower element.
4. Apply buttons and other embellishments to finish flowers.
5. Arrange flowers into desired configuration.
6. Cut a piece of stiff felt large enough to hold your flowers, but small enough to be hidden behind the flowers.
7. Sew or glue (I'd sew for a wedding) flowers to larger felt piece in desired configuration.
8. Sew or pin onto veil.
It's not rocket science, people. Save your money for supplies and not over hyped "classes".
