Mrs. T has a serious addiction. It's just not normal, and too much like the alcoholic who can't stop no matter the consequences, or how it looks to others. She doesn't care enough about her family or job to stop posting. Peas aren't doing her any favors acting like this is normal. I feel bad for her kids - at school and her own children. I don't say that shit lightly. I genuinely feel bad for them.
Hopefully the nurse will take the baby home too - at least then he won't have to compete with a bunch of strangers on the internet for his mother's attention.
When I had my son, the last thing on my mind was posting it for the Peas (or anywhere for that matter). I didn't touch the computer for 10 days! I can't imagine giving birth with a phone or laptop attached to my fingers.
I think it was so damn considerate of Mrs. T to post all day so that the peas knew exactly what was going on. She saved so many other people from having to get online and ask how she was doing. Very thoughtful of her. I know that in 20 years her son will be so grateful that his birth was recorded in detail - I just wish there would have been photos.
That's what I did like about Kaylaimee (too lazy to go and check the exact username) but she took her baby home on April 15th and it took until May 5th to post an update.
THAT'S exactly how it should be. You go home with a new baby, and you spend time with your family and the new baby and don't even think about 2Ps until 3 weeks later.

Thank you for that suggestion. I did not know of the link between fertility treatments, autism and older mothers. Very interesting. Even more interesting is the fact that I have never read about that link on Two Peas. There seems to be a lot of on-the-spectrum children, yet very little discussion about the cause (other than blaming childhood immunizations - which is not a conclusive cause.) But, hey, there is no way their children's condition could be their fault - right? It has to be something else not even remotely related to genetics or something medically they did. A lot of denial on that board.
I also beleive that if you bring a child into the world, you should be 100% reponsible for paying for the child's special needs and if needed, special care for the rest of their lives. Not the taxpayers. YOU should have to pay. That may mean, no vacations, no new cars, no big house, no fancy TV's, computers, etc. Your child comes first - you should make all the sacrifics it takes to keep them well cared for, even beyond YOUR life. Buy insurance, make plans, do what you have to do. Do not "demand" that the taxpayer take care of YOUR child. I'm all for supporting SS Disability - but only if YOU have made large sacrifics and truly cannot afford to support the child. Yes, your other children may have to make sacrifics too. Sad, but it comes with the territory of having a disabled child in the family. Every.single.one of the family will be affected.

1. Sorry to disappoint BUT I am not Captain K and yes I am mouthy and use Edgy Coolness to tell the peas exactly what I think about various subjects.
I changed my peaname from esinger to Edgy Coolness after the whole Emily Jones/Slower Joe thread where I was told I wasn't edgy or cool by a couple of self-aggrandizing Tier 1 uber-bitches who always seem to attack anyone that threatens their popularity or exposes their obvious bitchy meanness.
2. I had LAP BAND surgery which I posted about to Lauren on her thread and some of the issues that I had with it in the beginning. If you are really interested, I posted my "story" on the International No Diet Day 2011 Facebook Page, which I administer.
That is where I have been for the past week, working on that Facebook page and gasp! having a life that doesn't revolve around the bukkit or the podders.
3. The last post I made on the Bukkit was 5/3 and since I have been busy with INDD 2011, I didn't even bother to read what was being posted here or there.
If I had known that I was being "outed" as Captain K, who by the way has more than a 1000 posts than me, I would have posted that was incorrect and I have no need for a "fake" name because I would not bring my problems to the bukkit or feel the need to be "friends with everyone."
