I'm not sure you get past losing a DD, I have a 19yo and would be devastated if any thing happened to her BUT I also know my DD and she wouldn't want me consistently dwelling on it and abusing drugs or alcohol like lostinspace seemed to be doing awhile back.
Lostinspace has a DS and DGS, she should focus on what she still has not what she lost, sort of like how daltonsmommy or whatever her name is and how she has in her siggy about losing her baby. Horrible for sure but she now has a healthy DD and all she seems to focus on is her loss.
It's easy for me to say because I've never faced either tragedy but I don't think hanging on and dwelling on them are good for a person.

I think you can go one of two ways when a child dies, you can let it define you or you can define the experience. Cherivail has defined the experience and has used it to make her community better. She uses her daughters death in a respectful way and acts with dignity. She only talks about it when asked or its applicable to the conversation.
Lostinspace is the exact opposite, she uses her daughters death as an opportunity to remind everyone of what she has been through and how terrible her life is, she's an attention whore about it.
Lostinspace (boy is that an apt screen name!) also feels that putting a scarlet "A" on some 17 year old kid for life is a good thing. The driver has done her time/sentence as determined by the courts, and probably has to walk around with the guilt of killing her friend for the rest of her life, but Lostinspace thinks she has to carry the criminal record with her for the rest of her life too. I think that's pretty sucky.
Cherivall was an attention whore over her DD's death too. How many people would run to Two Peas to tell all the Peas what was going on, right after finding your child lifeless in the bathtub? Not too many.

She contacted the police because her DD died in a traffic accident and she's never really gotten over it. I can't imagine how that would feel and never want to but she really seems to hang on to the fact that she lost a DD.

But you also don't go through the rest of your life drinking, abusing prescription drugs, lashing out at everyone you encounter, and then whining "poor me" when you're called out on your bad behavior.
She is crazy, dangerous, and she needs serious mental help. Peas patting her on the head and telling her she's not unhinged are just going to make her worse.
I'm not sure you get past losing a DD, I have a 19yo and would be devastated if any thing happened to her BUT I also know my DD and she wouldn't want me consistently dwelling on it and abusing drugs or alcohol like lostinspace seemed to be doing awhile back.
Lostinspace has a DS and DGS, she should focus on what she still has not what she lost, sort of like how daltonsmommy or whatever her name is and how she has in her siggy about losing her baby. Horrible for sure but she now has a healthy DD and all she seems to focus on is her loss.
It's easy for me to say because I've never faced either tragedy but I don't think hanging on and dwelling on them are good for a person.
I LOVE the "I used welfare for 7 years, but I have no tolerance for people on welfare" lady. She seems like a real gem.
