I've cut my hair short and I look awful. I look at it this way, I have avoided the sun my whole life to keep my skin nice. As long as I don't look like a leather hand bag, and I keep myself in shape, I can keep the long hair.
My husband is much younger than I am, and he'd drop dead of a heart attack if I cut it. I look the same age as him, and I am keeping it that way.
Long hair need not be "skanky" if you take really good care of it, which I do.

Her daughter's death was, indeed, a huge tragedy. However, she's definitely one of those people who has decided to let that tragedy define every moment of the rest of her life.
Tragedy has touched a lot of Peas - very few of them wear their tragedy like a beauty pageant sash. I suspect lostinspace has used her daughter's death as the reason that ANYTHING that's happened to her since, has happened.

Her daughter's death was, indeed, a huge tragedy. However, she's definitely one of those people who has decided to let that tragedy define every moment of the rest of her life.
Tragedy has touched a lot of Peas - very few of them wear their tragedy like a beauty pageant sash. I suspect lostinspace has used her daughter's death as the reason that ANYTHING that's happened to her since, has happened.
It's pathetic and very, very sad. She needs serious help, but I doubt she'll get it. It's so much easier to be the grief-stricken mother for the rest of your life, because you get away with a lot of bullshit that way.
